I'm hoping Woo will see this tomorrow. I know most of the other forum members don't watch that much TV (at least not the shows I do).
But I'm curious if anyone who watches thinks HIMYM jumped the shark?
I don't know why, but for the last season or so I've grown really bored of the show. I still enjoy a lot of the Barney stuff, like last weeks big musical number. But overall it feels like the show has lost something. Or maybe that it's just not evolving at all.
HIMYM used to be my favorite of the night. Now I couldn't live without Big Bang. I still enjoy HIMYM but there are some episodes that are just meh. I'm not sure when it started. I was all happy for the Barney/Robin thing but then when it happened it just didn't feel right. I guess I still watch because I love the actors.
So yeah something is off but I can't truly pinpoint it.

Yeah, that's just it. It's the strangest thing, I like every one of the actors and the characters, but for some reason overall it's just not doing it for me anymore.
I think part of the issue is that they have dragged out the mother thing WAAAAAAAAAY too long, let's get onto meeting her already. PLUS they've brought in several of my absolute favorite actresses (Rachel Bilson, Ashley Williams) and teased them as possibly being the mom before saying they weren't.
Overall though it just feels to me like these characters are almost the exact same people they were when we met them 4 years ago.
As the only other person I know who watches it I wondered if you were feeling the same way at all.
Also, I absolutely agree about Big Bang Theory. It has become my absolute favorite half hour comedy. Truly can't miss.
That episode from last Christmas where Penny gets Sheldon a napkin that Leonard Nimoy wiped his mouth on is possibly the best 30 minutes of TV comedy I've ever seen. Jim Parsons is just getting better and better at playing Sheldon.
I still love Two & A Half Men too. Haven't really taken to Accidentally On Purpose yet.
I adore Jim Parsons!! There are some episodes that we have to rewind because I miss so much cuz I am laughing too hard! Love that Christmas epi! And the one where Sheldon is working on his smile. Leonard says something about they are not there to kill Batman.
Accidentally On Purpose has grown on me. I absolutely love her sister! There was an episode without her and I greatly felt that.
HIMYM- I was all excited when Joanna Garcia was on it and then she wasn't the Mom. QUIT JERKING US AROUND! lol

It's kind of funny how effective sandwiching a new show in between already successful ones is.
I often want to turn off ACCIDENTALLY but think "eh, why bother, I gotta come back to CBS in 20 minutes anyway".
Over time the show starts to grow on you a little more, and eventually who knows. I might like it just as much as the others.
Monday is really the only night of MUST-SEE TV for me anymore. The rest of the week I don't really care what is on, it's mostly background noise for me.
I remember how I didn't like The Big Bang Theory when it first came out. I am so happy I gave it a shot! Now we will most likely buy it on DVD
Thursdays are still my big nights for TV. Why does everything have to be be on that night?!
I could probably give up CSI cuz I miss Grissom and "Morpheus" isn't cutting it for me but Mr Woo likes that show and I get my Supernatural so I don't complain

My oldest girl says Big Bang Theory reminds her of her boyfriend and his friends when they're hanging out together. She says Sheldon (is he the one that wears glasses?) is her boyfriend.

I didn't like Big Bang either. I think you talked me into giving it another chance actually.
CSI: Miami isn't a favorite of mine, but I watch it almost every week anyway just because it's so amazing to look at. The cinematography on that show is just incredible. Though I doubt any police station in the world is as stylish and high tech as theirs is.

oh I did? That's awesome! And then you converted Web?
CSI- Miami I just cannot do! I can't stand Caruso. I thought I was dying a painful death having to endure him when they did the big crossover

I think I converted Dylan now too. Last time he was over I had him watch the Christmas episode. He wanted to see more and wound up watching five episodes. Now I think he's hooked.
One by one we'll convert em' all Woo. They can't resist us. NOBODY CAN RESIST US!!!

I should just give it a real chance. I never though I'd like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I stuck with it through a few episodes and wound up loving it.
Did you try to watch it when it was airing or from Season 1? Just curious. We are in season 5. They haven't confirmed a season 6 yet. It was originally supposed to just go 5 seasons.
