How do you think hockey was invented? They had nothing better to do. They were chasing one another around, beating each other with sticks when they came across a frozen pond and started playing on it. Eventually sticks became a tool instead of a weapon.

Being a big hockey fan, I always remember this top 5 from an SNL skit way back. I just re-discovered it on the web while this hockey discussion was going on here.... biggrin

Alright now, it's time for the Top 5. Why 5? 'Cause 10 would make the Man nervous. Tonight's the Top 5 Reasons Brothers don't play hockey. Reason #5: It's cold out there; Reason #4: They scared to get their gold tooth knocked out; Reason #3: Don't want to be around white guys with sticks; Reason #2: Don't want to be around a white guy with a mask; and the #1 Reason Black Guys Don't Play Hockey: Don't feel the need to dominate yet another sport.

I'd think it would be a bit chilly curling in a kilt. But I guess if you are drunk enough, it really doesn't matter.

The hockey game was awesome. I saw almost all of it before leaving to go drive a friend to work.
