Morning All... Let's just say the manfriend is gonna have to work awfully hard tonight outdo the date I gave him last night!! And to quote Forrest Gump in order to not incriminate myself further, "That's all I've got to say about that."
Yucky Yucky Yucky outside today. At least it's rain and not blizzard like DC is getting.
Gotta get some housework done then Paul and I are meeting for breakfast at the Loveless Cafe. It's supposedly a MUST if you ever visit Nashville. We've both lived her 25 years and neither of us have ever been there. Isn't that the way it is? Afterwards we're hitting the Natchez Trace and finding a little winery we haven't visited yet. That's one of our favorite things to do on Saturdays.
Mad Mema- Hope you enjoy the chili. That's was on our menu last weekend after a day of sledding. I actually used mine as a taco salad. Scrumchy!!
Good morning, all! I'm so glad its Saturday and I have a couple days off. Its foggy here, but the snow seems to have stopped for now.
That blizzard in DC is just crazy! My BFF was out there all last week. From what he tells me, he caught one of the last flights out yesterday morning. He said that they closed the airport right after his plane left the gate.
Good for you TG! Sounds like you are having a wonderful weekend. Its good to hear that you have found such happiness.
Have a great day everyone.

We have a friend in D.C. that Mrs Web was chatting with on FaceBook last night. This friend was going on about how deep the snow was but they were set and stocked up while naming off all the goodies they had to prepare for being snowed in for several days. With a friend staying over, there are four girls in the house. Mrs Web asked if she was stocked up on toilet paper. Uh oh, no, they were not ready for that. She said the forgot about that. lol
20+" at my house and still snowing - prob will top 2 feet. I just got in from 2 hours of shoveling. I got a path out to the street, but it's not wide enough to fit a car through yet, so I'll be out again in a little while. Wind hasn;t picked up real bad yet though, so that's good.
Here's the NWS snow roundup for my area so far. I live closest to Valley Green in York County near the bottom.
T-Gal, I'm really happy things are going so well for you in your relationship.
Mema, glad you didn't get as much snow as Mursclub!
Mursclub, YIKES!!!! What else can I say? That's a LOTTA snow. Glad I don't have to move it.
Web, you're GOING DOWN IN MADDEN next time we play!!!! You're gonna wish you never picked up the controller! I'm gonna hit your guys so hard that you'll wind up with broken bones in your hand!!!!

JR and Web, have you tried a Saints/Colts matchup yet?
I agree Mema, this not working thing is wonderful.
Wow, Murs! We didn't get near what they said we would, only a couple inches. It rained a lot first though, so I think it stayed warmer longer than they anticipated. I was hoping they were over estimating for you too, but I guess not! Good luck with all that shoveling!
Today, I'm going to edit for a while, then start on making some chocolates. Tomorrow I've got some bacon wrapped dates and bacon jalapeno poppers to make to take over to a friend's house for the game.
We indeed topped out at near 24" here. The snowblower brigade showed up at my house after lunch - 3 of my neighbors came over with their snowblowers and snowblowed out the rest of my driveway, and then we went next door and did the neighbors - he had back surgery and his wife has to do all the heavy lifting now, or heavy shoveling as the case may be.

Neighbors helping neighbors. I LOVE IT. Sounds like ANOTHER Freeze-Frame MIRACLE!!!!!
OK, I know. This ones stretching it a bit. But we haven't had one in awhile.
JR and Web, have you tried a Saints/Colts matchup yet?
No we haven't MZ. But the co-worker and I played a Saints / Colts game even before we knew they'd be in the Superbowl. I don't recall the outcome though.
DANG Murs!! I'm glad it finally stopped snowing for you. I can't imagine. I'm the only person in my immediate area with a snowblower, so I help the others when I can. Just not sure mine would stand up to that kind of a work out.
I've got the chili simmering. Tastes pretty yummy if I do say so myself... which I am.
Sounds like yummy stuff, Mz. I hope you have fun with your friends.
JR and Web... you boys play nice.

Just looked at the forecast for my area again. The National Weather Service has us in a winter weather advisory through Monday night. They say that two storms are going to converge over the KC area and we should get some heavy snow... nothing even remotely close to what the east coast has been dealing with, but new accumulation should be 6+ inches, and it could start snowing as soon as Sunday night and is supposed to pick up in intensity around the morning commute time.
Given that, I'm trying to talk the roomie into going to his parents house tomorrow. Its about 50 miles west of here and should be out of the track of the storm. He's supposed to spend Monday and Tuesday on the far out of town stretch of his sales area, so I'm thinking that he should get a head start on the trip so he doesn't have to deal with the messed up morning traffic. Yeah, that's the ticket.
