Ok.  My car repairs wound up being more than expected, so I've decided to cash in my change jar that I've been saving for the last six months to a year.

I thought I'd make a contest of it.  Whoever can guess closest to the amount of cash in the jar wins 12 FREE REQUESTS and they don't even have to be on the request list (but they do have to be clean, and in my collection).

I took photo's of the jar and put a 12 oz can of soda next to it for perspective.

The jar includes dollar bills (all $1), pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters.

It's just for fun (and 12 free requests) so take a stab at it!  I'll cash it in during the week.

Oh, and in the interest of full disclosure, I added .86 to it this morning.

Dylan, ya might wanna rethink that guess.

I just weighed the jar (it's plastic, so the jar itself isn't very heavy) and it comes in at 8.4 lbs.

By the way, the requests ARE transferable (within reason), so if someone like Fuzzy who can't listen to FFR wants to play she still can.  She could just enjoy having two six packs of free requests to give away.

The singles alone are $131.00

Once they were removed from the jar it's exactly half-full with coins, most of which are silver. I'm thinking Mema will be closest. I should get into the bank to get it counted by Thursday or Friday.
