I'm lucky. My big projects are done, everyone at work is mentally already on their 3-4 day weekend. I was able to spend a lot of time on the board today. That doesn't usually happen! Don't worry, you'll catch me yet, I know you will!

Yes will be in tomorrow. not sure how many others will be, but I used up my vacation time in new orleans- I can't get my 2nd week until september now.

Oh I do the whole thing- inside sales, setup- mostly desktop stuff, a bit of editing- I help the floor solve issues. I'm like guy friday. I used to be a technical writer, but that totally burnt me out. This is much better-


what is it you do again? (BESIDES HANG OUT HERE...)

well if the station actually had a payroll, you'd receive the maximum raise for top performers, which I believe nationally in the last 4 yrs has been 5 cents an hour or so for the top performers? and that's of course for the rare industries which haven't lifted their wage freezes.


OH. OH. If only we could party like it was 1999 again.

I have worked for a printing company in cs.  Do you guys do digital?  I worked there in 2000-01.  We did plates only.  I think almost everyone does digital now.


I also did graphic design for a few yrs - my true love.


Then I did background checks for awhile


Now I work as a boring old overpaid (for all the time I spend on FFR) account clerk - no, not an accountant like confuzzed - just clerk.  I would probably leave my job if I couldn't be on FFR.

yea star- its pretty much all digital, though we just bought and old school printing house up in Green Bay so as to offer offset printing services. The future taking up a portion of the old school so as to be a complete solution for any and all who need printing done. what kills me is that all the math, all the solutions work out on paper. But paper is not the real world- I best shut up now- I got some peeps diggin on the station and don't want to have this work itself into the mix of an already complicated territorial p*ss*ing!


I love it tho.

I am just having one of those days.  You know what it is like when you return from Vacation, your desk is piled high--and of course the company wants everything completed, two weeks work before close of business on Friday because of the holiday.  I cannot wait to be self employed again.

You know what, it's ok, because I am looking at it this way, I can play 36 holes of Golf on each day Sat, Sun and Mon.  It's a little hot though, I will have to start at 5:30.  We got to 112 today.  I made the mistake of walking on the concrete to get the mail with no shoes.  I also don't care what anyone says, yes I love the heat, but even a dry heat of 112 can get hot especially when there is not breeze.  A couple of years ago we actually hit 131.  At night we cool down to 85 or 90.

golf makes it worth it, man. for 4 yrs thats how I saw work- it enabled me to play golf while I was not there! work (ideally) is 8 hrs. the day is 24 hrs long thats potentially 36 holes if you can get past the hazards! pfffft daylight golf is for panzies! anyhow


hey cp what kind of clubs do you use? sorry if I asked that before. But I am in love with Ram irons. the weight is just right. I cleared 160 yrds with my Ram pitching wedge from the rough onto the green once. I LOVE THAT CLUB! THAT WAS A SHOT THAT WAS NOT TO HAPPEN THAT GOOD!
