Firefox keeps crashing at work, even after reinstalling, so I'm trying out Opera. It certainly is fast. But I don't know how much I dig their widget set up instead of the add on set up that Firefox has, particularly with Google Toolbar. I'll try it out for a few days and see if I like it.
The roomie got a place, so he's moving out today and tomorrow. It will be nice having the house to ourselves again, but now that I'm used to having him there, I'll miss him. He's got a new girlfriend that I really like, so I'll miss her too. He'll only be a few blocks away, so I'm sure we'll still see him all the time though. Oh, and he's leaving the new Xbox behind and taking the old one with him. The old one needs fixed, so he's going to have it modded, so it'll be bigger and better for him.
I've been trying to get caught up on my work. I need to go do that. I have a little more than 2 days to get in today. That's my goal anyway. Yesterday was my Mom's birthday so most likely Saturday we will get together for dinner or something. Sunday we have bowling. Mr Woo is sick and doesn't feel like doing anything. But he has a dr appt on Monday anyway so I'm sure they will address the cold too.

It was in the low 40s on my way into the office, but it is supposed to get to 70 today. How nice. Too bad I am stuck in here. I get to enjoy similar weather this weekend though.
Now, get back to work!

'tis Friday and I'll be trying to stay up all day.
I purposely slept until almost 9:30 PM last night so I could try to avoid sleep today. We'll see how that goes.
I just announced a long overdue decision on shutting down the station. It's been on my mind for nearly a year now and I've been clinging to some hope that somehow things would turn around. I hate ending things, but I really do think it's probably time to move on.
Later today I may take a trip to Sam's Club to pick up my supply of paper plates, plastic cups and plastic forks, spoons and knifes. I'm still trying to decide if it's cheaper to pay the $40 for a years supply of that stuff or to use regular dishes and my dishwasher once or a twice a week all year long.
That thing runs for almost an hour, so I'm guessing it's using a ton of electricity. Might be more expensive than just having disposable stuff.
You are right. I can't make you. But somehow, since you have a little snow and it will not exaclty be go outside and play or run errands weather, I think you;ll mainly be staying inside. And if you are inside, what else are you going to do?

You gotta remember, Web's never off the clock. He's at work 24/7, 365 days a year!
Trust me, I know. During a 50 minute football game on any given weeknight he's getting fifteen emails he has to check to make sure they're not business related. (I think he's actually just using the opportunity to catch his breath from the punishment I'm inflicting on him, but we'll let him have his little secret)

You know there is an alternative, don't you? You could always use real dishes and hand-wash 'em every time you're done eating.
My parent's always said they had kids so there was someone to do the dishes, take out the trash, mow the lawn, clean the pool, etc. Someone else had to have their parents say that to them.

What kid wasn't the first remote control for their Dad?
I was so glad when they finally got a TV that actually had a remote. I swear, I couldn't walk within 20 feet of the TV without Dad yelling "Hey Jim, turn it and see what's on channel six ok? Nah, that's no good, what about four?"
Thank goodness we only had 7 channels back in those days. If we had cable I could have been stuck there for days!
I assume you all have heard about Sandra Bullock's relationship troubles.
The news had a thing on it this morning. Afterward, I thought: Well, this will give new life to that "Jessy James is a Dead Man" show he tried there for a while.

LOL, no, I haven't! I don't even know who she was dating or what that show is!

You had 7 channels back then?? Dang, we only had 4....NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS. I guess I really did grow up in the dark ages.
This "Jessy James" guy (they are married) is a motorcycle builder guy. I think his main show is called "Monster Garage". He had this other really lame show that only aired a couple times called "Jessy James is a dead Man".
In the one episode I watched, Jessy and another guy had to ride motorcycles across a frozen, snowy area to get medicine and supplies to some "isolated" area. The whole trip, they were covered by cameras in a helicopter. Through the whole show, I couldn't help but think "Why don't they just use the helicopter to deliver the supplies?" It was a totally BOGUS fake "reality TV" thing.
He is being accused of cheating on Sandra (and he has apologized) as millions of men say "Man, what a fool".

We got some big ol' antenna from sears that went on the roof.
It allowed us to get better reception on the local four stations (4 NBC, 6 CBS, 12 ABC & 10 PBS) but we also picked up WGN in Chicago, and two other stations I can't remember.

Lucky you! We were not only the remote, but also the antenna too. I can remember having to stand next to the tv moving the rabbit ears around until the picture came in. As soon as I'd let go, we'd lose the picture. I watched many shows from the side of the tv while being the antenna.
I think I remember 3, 6, 10, 12, 13 and the two or three UHF stations. Let us also remember that my father didn't break down and get cable until I was in high school.
