I'm not sure if it's the fact my apartment was at about 88 degrees by the time I went to bed or if it's merely my body fighting the switch to sleeping at night, but I couldn't sleep at all tonight so I thought I'd get up and start the daily thread.
I've got central air, but it's so early in the year the management hasn't removed all the insulation they put in for winter so it couldn't be used. I think today I'm going out to Wal-Mart and picking up a couple fans.
Oh well. I'll stay up awhile and then sleep during the day like normal I suppose.
It's gorgeous outside! And I'm inside at work. Bah. But I'm wearing a short sleeved shirt, a knee length skirt without stockings, and my jellies! I feel like it's summer! We slept with our windows open last night. This is great!
Morning. The sun is out and it was 50* on my way into the office. Traffic was a breeze since a lot of the world has off. It is going to warm up nicely outside. I am looking forward to sleeping with the windows open tonight. I enjoy fresh air flowing through the house.
In the meantime, there is so much to do. I have to get started on my month end stuff.
Work on!

oh hello last night was the first night I slept with a window cracked open. Its kind of a mixed bag- I like the fresh air, but any night sound outside will wake me up- cat, or birds start chirpin at 3 am. I once had a window fan for my old place, I might need to do that again....

I'm home with the Boy Wonder today for Easter break.
It's not nearly as nice today as yesterday was. I've still got some work to do on the old shed cleanup. A little more loading and then off to the recycle center/dump. Then, I suppose I better see about getting a building permit to start planning for a new shed.
I think I look pretty good today. I took extra time to get ready this morning, did my makeup properly (instead of the usual rush to slap it on), styled my hair a little, etc.
The Etch just came into my office to ask a question, stopped midway through her question and asked, "Oh my god, are you okay?"
She wasn't even pissing me off yet. I have no clue what made her ask that, but now I'm worried. That's not the reaction I was going for today.
Sure, I'll toss one to you. It's an organic pseudo peanut butter rice crispy treat. It's actually pretty good. If I want them for work, I can't keep them in the house because my DH would eat them all.
I know. He knows. But he really likes them, and sometimes they call to him. He usually warns me first, "Don't forget to take your snacks to work tomorrow, or I might eat them."
I called my nephew and he wants all the metal from the shed for salvage. I gotta drop off the metal for him, then take the rest to the dump.
If all goes as planned, the boy's swing set is coming down today too. He has outgrown it and doesn't want it any more. He would rather go over to the school and play on the big stuff. It was used when we got it and the plastic parts are looking pretty rough now. We only paid $50 for it, It's not even worth trying to sell again now. I think we'll let nephew have it for salvage too. I'm going to enjoy not having to mow around it all summer.
Hi all! I spent the day outside; got all the winter grime cleaned off the patio, all the patio furniture and lawn ornaments cleaned and put out, and the girls got their dad to put the basketball hoop put back up on the garage for them. It's still 84 degrees here at 6:28 pm! I'm LOVING this summer weather on the 2nd of April!!
