I cannot believe it is that time already.  I am very jealous.  Oh, to have some time off.

Want me to call your boss?

I could tell him I'm a prospective customer and I want to speak to a company spokesperson in person immediately here in Milwaukee!

I can say I just inherited 10 million and I'm looking for a foolish way to spend it. I don't care if I overpay!

I can say I only deal with guys that have Ryan Seacrest hairstyles!

Then it's you, me and JD at Summerfest! WOO HOO!

Awwwwww CRAP, I didn't think you'd actually be able to do something like that on such short notice. I can't take days off of my crappy job on that short of notice. They require nearly two months advance. In fact I just put in today for September 11 & 12.

Hey, I know JD would be all for this, we should plan in advance for a couple days next year at Summerfest. I'll take a few days off, and the three of us can drink until we need a cab!

In fact, with advance notice, we might even be able to convince some of the members that live closer to take a few days off work and come into town (hint hint Mz, Molly, MoCrazy).

We could even do a day in the studio, make all the other forum members jelous because they're at work and we're having a bloody mary at 10 AM

Maybe a weekend?

I have a couple parties this weekend, but I'm not sure about next.

Although that's the last two nights, I'm not sure if those are that great. We'll have to check with JD. He's probably already planning on being there all weekend both weekends anyway.

first night! me and pipe got down there about 5:30 and the power had been out for a couple of hours! everyone was kinda walking around like "man, its so quiet....." power was back on by about 6:15 or so. Saw Elvis Costello from the front row, just left of center. I hope the pic turns out where he pointed at us. It was actually my flash that caught his attention, we waved, he waved back and laughed. we will see if that turned out. He hit the stage with PUMP IT UP. mayhem. did a bunch of great sounding songs from this new album "River running backwards" or something like that. Crescent City Horns were phenomenal!!" Alison was good too, as expected.

Got some pics of the opening night fireworks, hope they turn out. They actually moved BLue Oyster Cult to the rock stage, so we headed over there, just in time to hear "Burnin For you". Hope these pics turn out too. REO SPeedwagon was way on the other side of the grounds, and once Tom Petty/Pearl Jam let out, we weren't gonna fight the traffic to get there.

Pics posted a week from Sunday! JD signing out!

A 59-year-old man died at Summerfest last night, but no foul play was suspected, Milwaukee police said.
The man was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m.

Police identified the man as William Mishefski, 59, of Milwaukee. The medical examiner is doing an autopsy.

In addition, Milwaukee police arrested 23 people on 27 charges yesterday at the festival. These are the charges: 11 drug possessions, six possession of alcohol by underage person, five disorderly conduct, two resisting/obstructing an officer and three other charges.

Of those 23 people arrested, 16 were from outside the metropolitan Milwaukee area, police said.

Mike Stanton flips his wife of 32 years, Debbie, on her birthday Friday at Summerfest. The couple, from South Milwaukee, were dancing the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard. They both take their vacations for the run of Summerfest.

I'll post my pics next week- but here are some elvis costello pics from one of the photographers in the pit in front of me. All the press guys got their pics and were out of there 1/2 a song into the show.

This is Elvis hitting the stage with "what's so funny about peace, love, and understanding"....he raised his guitar like that and the crowd just went nuts!
