So it's Wednesday

It's going to be another gorgeous day in the Tulsa metro!  Too bad I get to only enjoy the view --  and not much of one at that!

Two more days Fuzzy!

Good day all.

My boss is in a super good mood today. In possibly related news, the Etch is still out of the office. We're kind of giddy around here this morning.

Good morning. smile.gif

We had a little bit of thunder and a nice rain last night. It was good to hear the rain again.

I just got good news! My crappy neighbors here at the shop are moving! He works for the railroad and got promoted to a job which means a move to Kansas City by the end of this month. Sorry Mema, you get them now, but Yay for me! I hope when the house sells, I'll get someone who wants to be a good neighbor.

It is Wednesday? Are we sure.

DS - I expected you to be here to help with my paper party. If you won't help with that, how about helping me out with the month/quarter end stuff? I am so behind in that too.

We found out the neighbors on either side of us are moving in August. This makes me sad. On one side, they play piano, so we're serenaded many evenings by impromptu practices. It's so cool. On the other side is the neighbor I call The Vampire because he's so quiet it's eerie. I hope we get new neighbors as good as these.

Good morning all.  It's going to be a nice day here....in the 70s today, 80s tomorrow! clap.gif

Web, hope you get some decent neighbors when the house sells. smile Aside from the jerks that live behind me, all the new people that have moved in around me have been pretty nice.

Yesterday I went to speak to an attorney about ending my marriage for good.  I had specific questions, and found out that if I want to be able to collect half of my "husband's" pension, I have to be married to him for 25 years.  That won't be until August of 2012.  hmm I asked what happens if he decides to draw his full pension.....right now the City of Saginaw says if he draws full and dies, I get nothing.  Lawyer says state law supersedes that......even if he does take full benefits when he retires, then dies, I will be able to collect half of it because it would be court ordered.  To collect on his Social Security (which will be much higher than my own) it's 20 years; got that covered.  To continue my health insurance under him is tricky right now because of all the new Federal laws coming in....will have to review it at that time.  Attorney advised me to start stashing away some money over these next 2 years, but to keep it out of the banks.....no paper trail equals no way for him to find it; if he can't find it, he can't touch it.  Attorney also said if I really want it, I can get him to pay me alimony too because he's been my main financial support during our marriage; all the years I've worked have only been part-time and he said our tax returns are my proof in case things get nasty.

So at least now I know where I'm going to end up financially.  I just have to hang in there for 2 more years.  It will be rough, but I can do it if it means ending up in a better financial position than I'd be in if I file now.

This is why I haven't been around much lately......I needed to really think about what's best for me in the long run, and truthfully, a divorce is the best option.  I deserve to be happy, and I won't be until I end this so-called marriage of mine.

Please don't feel sorry for me guys.  I've done my mourning over the end of my marriage a long time ago.  I have no emotional ties towards him left...the only thing left to sever are the legal things that bind us together.

Ghost, two more years is a long time if you're unhappy, but I hope it all works out for the best for you.

I know Web; it's a very long time and it's going to be really hard to hang in there, but if I don't, I'm going to end up in financial ruins.  While I may not have contributed as much financially, I'm not about to walk away with nothing either.

I've been down every other avenue that I can possibly go down in an effort to save my marriage, but it takes two people to make it work.  He isn't/doesn't seem interested in doing it so there's no point in trying anymore.

Good day, all. Another beautiful one here in my neck of the woods. 70* already. I LOVE THIS WEATHER.

Web... its okay. We have plenty of jerks in KC. Another one will go completely unnoticed. Hopefully he will move on the Missouri side in which case I will never encounter him. Odds are good for that... the newest rail hub is going in not far from Momma's house.

Fuzzy... enjoy the paper party. Wish I could be there with you and DS. smile.gif

Ghost... I have a very good idea of what you deal with on the day to day having been there myself. I know its not exactly the right thing to say, but I'm happy for you. Not that your situation has finally come to this, but that you have made a plan and are moving forward to find peace and happiness in your life. Its not easy. 2 years seems like a long time, but it really isn't when you weigh it against the 20 years you already have in and the future you have ahead of you. As always, I'm here for you any time.

Mz... good luck with the new neighbors. That always makes me a bit anxious. The kid who bought my friend Cindy's house informed me that he is getting some roommates at the first of the month. THAT should be interesting. 3 guys in there 20's living in one house next door. hmm.gif

DS... I'm with you on enjoying the view. Wish I was out in it!

I know. I wish I could have been. Would have been more fun than dealing with the crew here at my office. They all know it's coming... they all want details. I can't say squat.

Good day all. Just got up to find the Brewers in the lead clap.gif BUT, the Cubbies are on the brink of tying it with a single crying.gif

Ghost: Sorry to hear your marriage has come to this point, but happy that you can see a light at the end of the tunnel.
