I think I saw the flash of light out my window, but assumed it was car lights.  I should have known it was something else though, because I never get car lights coming in my window.

The link below goes to an article which has a video showing how huge the meteor was.  Unfortunately there's no link to embed the video here, so if anyone wants to see it you'd have to go to the article.

It was pretty cool though!

That thing made a fly-by in Michigan too last night, but the only thing I noticed was a sonic boom.  Haven't heard one of those since I was kid when they made the fighter jets stop breaking the sound barrier. 

Wasn't it a week or two ago they said an asteroid was supposed to pass between us and the moon?  Wonder if this could be part of it??confuse

I heard a big sonic boom about a year ago which brought back memories of when I was a kid and hearing them quite often.

I was puzzled what may have caused the boom I heard a year ago, but later that day found out the Shuttle was returning to Florida and the path was nearly overhead for us. I'm sure that is what caused that one.
