Probably goes without saying, but I'm thrilled that it isn't worse. The fact of the matter is that come tomorrow, there will be substantially fewer people in my department... we are looking at probably a 50-80% reduction in staff. Jack and his jokes help keep our spirits up no matter what is going on around here.

Ugh, people keep calling me and coworkers keep coming into my office. I want to tell them that I'm listening to the final hours of FFR, and to come back after it's over.

Dang, I'm gonna have to take off. I'd rather stay here and listen, but I'm off to go sit through 18 3rd graders reciting poems and skits that they memorized.

No worries there for now. They are targeting our first level techs and test operations people. The thought being that the senior engineers can support a skeleton staff and still get all the work done.

It is. They won't confirm numbers just yet, but the word managament is using is "brutal". I'm so not looking forward to this.

Aw crap.  My youngest daughter was supposed to be staying after school today to work on a group project, but she just called and told me to pick her up at the regular time.  That means the station will be off by the time I get back, and I so wanted to be here right til the end today. hmmcry

So I want to take a minute and say.....

THANK YOU JR!!  Without you, FFR would never have been here to begin with.  I thank you for sharing your dream with us!!  It was a wonderful gift you gave to us!  While I'm sad to know the music is going to stop playing soon, I'm so very thankful for all the wonderful friendships that I've made here!  Always remember JR.....for 7 years you got to live your dream!!!  HOW COOL IS THAT?!!!!  smile

Goodbye Freeze Frame Radio!!  You were loved, and you'll be missed!

Great choice for me JR!

murscclub stands for Millersville University Rocket Science Club.  We set up a stand during one Saturday that they were giving tours at our school to perspective students.  We were launching water balloons 100 yards across the square using a huge slingshot.  Ended up hitting some lady in the head and breaking her glasses and getting put on probation!  Ah, the good times.....  biggrin

By the way, if you like the song 'A Change in My Life', go find the version of it that Rockapella does.  I guarantee you won;t be disappointed!

LOL!! My boss passed by my office when the Crusty the Clown reading was playing. I was so afraid of her asking what it was, even though I'm holding in a laugh so much that I'm turning red.
