Good morning all. I've been up since 3:30 trying to help my youngest girl with her "baby". All that thing did last night was cry! We couldn't get it to stop. I was about ready to whip out a screwdriver and take the batteries out of the thing. The girl is beat this morning and is SO happy the baby goes back to the teacher today. This morning she said, "I'm NEVER having kids! I'll stick to animals; they're easier to take care of!" I hope she keeps right on thinking that way for a while. Anyway, the "Baby Think It Over" program was an eye opener and a good experience for her. I think every high school kid, both girls and guys, should have to participate in this program sometime during their 4 years of high school. I bet it would really help cut down on teen pregnancies.
I agree Ghost. And really, that doll is only part of the equation. So many teens don't realize all the effort it takes to have a baby. Although my school didn't have any of those programs, I didn't need it. My sister is nearly 12 years younger than me, I had the real thing. Especially when my mom was working 2nd shift and my stepdad worked 3rd shift, I'd have to come home from school and take care of my sister. But, I wouldn't trade it for the world, my sister is one of the most important people in my life.
This weekend we took my mother-in-law back to her house and opened it up. She is doing ok. She has her moments which is to be expected. We insisted that her sister stay with her for the week. She is happy to do it because when she lost her 1st husband in Vietnam, they took her and her son in. We will be back up there Friday night and then she will go home. The following week she will try it on her own. She may be spending nights at a friend's house. Pretty much every weekend we will be up there and my phone doesn't pick up service most times.
I'm still swamped at work so you probably won't see me much
Have a good day

"Am I speaking in a language you're not getting here?"
It is going to be a cool, windy day. 20-30 mph North-West winds. Ugh.
I got my wire ran to the new shed this weekend. I got the hole drilled through the foundation and only lacked a couple glue joints in the PVC when I was stopped by rain on Saturday. Yesterday, I got the PVC finished, the wire pushed through, and the trench filled in. I'm glad that part is done. That was a 50 ft long, by 2 ft deep digging project. Now, I can get ready to pour the 2nd run of concrete.
I gotta start mowing again. Ugh. I had a guy power rake and plug the yard and he mowed it once in the process of doing that, but now its time for me to start up again. I brought the mower here to the shop so I can change oil and get the blade sharpened up today.
Mrs Web had a bad night. She didn't sleep much because she checked the financial news and found out the bank's independent auditor quit. There was also hintings in the article that their records from the last 18 months now can't be trusted. That is probably going to mess with the sale proceedings.
Good day, all. Its cloudy and cooler here today... presently 52*. Supposed to warm up as the week progresses with (you guessed it) more rain later in the week.
Not sure what this day is going to be like. In theory, our recently displaced folk are supposed to come in and hand off their work to those remaining. Its very quiet around here for now, but I anticipate really having to find a new radio station soon as the people who seem to lack "indoor" voices have been moved out of the training room and back to their desks which are near me.
For the record, I totally agree that something equivalent to the Baby Think It Over program should be mandatory for all students, male and female. My school did not offer such a thing, but I got it in effect. My brother and his first wife lived with me and Momma shortly after their baby was born. Guess who was the primary care giver for the baby from about 3:40 PM - 7:30AM Monday - Friday and all weekend long?

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
We spent our weekend home taking care of domestic duties. I did manage to start Maranda and Jacob learning to drive a stick shift. As expected, Jacob caught on quickly. Maranda is not ready for third gear, but did better than expected.
Isaac's anger meltdowns are beginning to affect him at school, so I've made an appointment for him with his pediatrician for Wednedsay, to see what we can do to help him. I'm going to bring up high functioning Asperger's Disorder and see what the doctor thinks. Whatever it is, I know we'll get through it...
Hope everyone has a great Monday!
Smiles Everyone! Smiles!
