And this is why I stand by my philosophy that it's good to have friends in low places. What do friends in high places really get you? But man, I love having friends in low places, you get free food, ice cream, office supplies, assassins, etc.
That's right MZ. My mother always told me never to burn a bridge because you never know if one day you may have to cross it. I did not understand as a kid, but do now. The same with people. Treat everyone with respect, you never know ..... In fact true story. I had a meeting yesterday at the engineers offices. I was meeting with a new contact. We had never been introduced. I thought he looked familiar--but didn't say anything. He then stops mid sentence in his presentation and asks if we have met. It then occurs to him that he sat next to me on the plane. He had a very bad headache and I gave him some Advil. We had a very brief chat about our business, then he slept. His whole contenance changed when he recalled that, and the meeting became more friendly and shifted more in my favor.
