I've just recently learned how to drive a stick, but I've never really had enough practice to do it comfortably.

I used to love manual- more control over the engine and reaction of the car. I thought automatic would be boring!! But the new car is automatic and I've adjusted nicely.

I've known how to do it for awhile but I'm like Mz - not comfortable enough to do it all the time.  Man we are so similar in the little things.  All of us!  Like the cats and coffee - cool, huh?

I voted for automatic, but only because of the practicality of it. It is hard to beat your kids and use both hands for driving!

 

I loved the stick. My father would never teach me- the you are a girl issue. So that made me more determined to learn. He bought me a stick shift car and did not even know it. I needed a car and he worked it out with the dealer that I could get whatever I wanted within a certain price range (yes he is rich, not me tho!) Anyway, I bought a stick and the car salesman taught me how to drive it. However when my son got older, I needed at least one hand to turn around and smack him with! Or pick up his juice box, toy, etc...
