In Your Dreams...

I had a crazy thing happen while I was sleeping last night.  I was dream about these guys chasing me with whips and I was trying to move and next thing I knew - CRASH.

I had fallen on to the floor - tipping over a lamp and knocking a bunch of books over.  Now my hip is turning black and blue.

Go ahead and laugh!

I know!!  I've had those dreams where you're falling and you hit the bed or you trip but never fell out of bed.  I just know somebody (hartz) is going to analyze this.

Laugh nothing!  Chased by guys with whips?  WHOA!  That sounds like some serious angst being played out in the subconscious, or your watching too many horror movies.  If you're laughing about it, then I can chuckle, a little.  A whirlwind of red hair and flying lamps and books could make a funny scene.  O.K., fine, it's funny!  But I bet the bruise isn't.  Take it easy on yourself!

I went sky-diving some years ago. letting go of the wing of the plane and jumping was nuts. they call it sensory overload- where everything brain-wise and body wise sort of goes into that "I am about to die" mode. Its like the falling dream, but for real.

For years after that, whenever I had a falling dream, it was reliving that sensory overload moment again. More interesting than scary, but I would wake up on the floor too!

Let me get this straight. You fell in YOUR DREAM and you woke up with a bruise on your hip?

Listen Star, if tonight you see a man named freddy with razor blades for fingernails, RUN!!!!!

I am sorry, I laughed a little. Until I got to the bruise part. It is good to know that you are a danger to yourself. I have had strange dreams, but nothing like actually having books and lamps knocked over. Take the ice out of your drink and get it on your hip.

Nah, whenever you wake up with bruises or scratches that you didn't have before you went to bed, it's a sign that you were abducted by aliens.

Star--glad to hear you put up a struggle against the aliens.  By the way, do you know Michael Meyers?

no need for me to go starting new threads (I've done enough of that already)

I had a weird a$$ dream last night.

There was a lot going on in it - but the worst part is that my ex-husband left ME to go back tohis high school sweetheart!  It's a terrible feeling being left for someone else.  I never had that happen in real life but now I know what it feels like.  I was so

I had a bad dream last night too. I went into a supposed haunted house, to check for ghosts and such. There was this guy in there whose face kept changing. He kidnapped and abused me and wouldn't let me out of the house. There were 3 or 4 other people who lived there too that I think couldn't get out either. Then I found out the face changing guy was a vampire, and he started "snacking" on me. He wouldn't kill me or turn me into a vampire, though, and I got really pale and sick looking. My husband finally found me and he got kidnapped too. Finally, one of the other guys that lived there helped us escape, but the truck we took ran out of gas. (I remember it was daylight and I commented that I was surprised that after being fed on by a vampire the daylight didn't bother me.) So we stopped at a gas station, and I swiped my debit card, and it let me get gas, but after I'd pumped it, my card was declined. So, we couldn't leave the gas station without paying and we were stuck there. Then I woke up.

I seldom remember my dreams.
When I do its only bits, pieces and maybe feelings.

Well since it's been forever and I like this topic, I'll put in my 2 cents.  The only dream I remember recently was that I was the backup catcher for the Milwaukee Brewers, but I didn't have any of my gear with me. It was so embarrassing.

What i do have more of is deja' vu, where I know I dream something, but then it comes true weeks later. I mean, I seriously have a lot of it.  It's either that or I do a lot of the same things over and over again.  I'm not sure which it is.
