The Jazz Dr.

He's !!  If there's anyone that keeps me on my toes its him!!  With his !  Of course he's great on the forum because he works there but he really puts his heart into it.  He cares so much about us that he reported back from his vacation.  And he loves to poll us.  JD has a great sense of humor and does more than you guys know to keep this place up - he's the one who built the penthouse.   Yes, JD the Jazz Dr. a doctor of more than just jazz.

Zim has a great sense of humor.  She is quick-witted and creative.  I love her costumes.  She is the one who came up w/ "save a horse ride a cow, boy"  You go girl!!!  I love seeing your costumes.  Keep up the good work.

Webguy (a.k.a. Dovetails)

I think I should do them separately.   Dovetails was this kind of shy semi-cowboy who used to invite us out to his house.  He was kind and funny.  He was helpful w/ getting others' photos up as avatars.  And he would always help with technical info.  He's a great dad too.

As for Webtails, I guess I have to get to know him more before I can say much more.  But I can say that he defends others.  And has been helpful w/ our engraving requests.

Dylan Murphy

Yeah, like I wouldn't give you a shout out!!!  D, is one of the best.  He's moved up the list faster than me and I didn't think that was possible.  He's really been a challenge to me as far as racing goes.  But for the boards he's been..the ice in the drink..w/ the book club, the joke thread, the locker room.  And his comments always have what I love - substance!  Oh and how could I forget - he's a totally awesome singer!!  Yes Dylan is a charmer.  Oh, Mr. Murphy it is you who is the music to our ears.

Jeremy Riggs

If metaphorically speaking, some of us are different parts of the drink this guy is the actual liquid!!!  He's our founding father.  What can you say about a guy like that.  And he sacrifices his forum time so that we can have forum time.  I don't know if I could do that.  Talk about unselfish.  He is super friendly and has an awesome sense of humor.  We could really do a whole thread on you, Riggs after all you've done for us.  So feel free to start that, anyone.  He's our penguin who's anything but cold.  Riggsy!!

Music Junkie

As a fellow red head, she keeps me in check.  She is a wealth of knowledge on movies and of course music.  She adds depth to the forum.  She's a substance poster.  MJ is one cool chick!

JstDve:  I'd have to echo Star on this one.  He's as real as real can be, and doesn't pretend to be somethign he's not.

Ultimo is an absolute sweetheart!  A fellow WWE and Colts fan, what more could you want?  Ultimo is just one cool dude.

WFTR really is our spiritual leader.  He always know the right thing to say for fellow Christians, but still doesn't offend or leave out us non-Christians.  But at the same time, he knows how to have fun, and more importantly, egg Star on!

Sparky is cool, laid back, and always has a good attitude.  You never see Sparky getting in the middle of the drama we sometimes have, and he always contributes to the forum.

Sheesh Star, you gave me a lot to catch up on!  Thank you for the kind words.  I didn't think I had that much of an impact.  But this was a really good idea for a thread.  This is the thread you pull up when you're having a bad day and need a boost of self esteem.

JD is the picture of loyalty.  When he sets his mind to something, he gets it done.  But under the business exterior, he really cares about all of us.

Zim is creative and really good at making this place feel like home.

Dovetails/Webguy has a great sense of humor and is really handy.  If you need something, you go to him.

Like Star said, Dylan is a charmer, but a really sweet guy at heart.  Again, I'd just have to echo what everyone else has said, Dylan is great inspiration himself.

Speaking of dedicated, Jeremy Riggs is the man!  He could've just set up one of those radio stations where you hear the same ol' playlist over and over again.  Instead, he followed his dreams and made this station into something really special.  He goes out of his way to make all of us feel like we're a part of Freeze Frame, and you can tell that he really loves what he does!

Music Junkie's definately got style, in her posting and her music.

OK, Star, who have we left out?

I've been reserved about posting to this thread so as not to take it over, this is Star's baby!  But here is my observation of things, for what it's worth.

Not a day has gone by recently when I don't add a "Thank You" prayer for this forum.  What a rag-tag bunch we are!  Georgraphy, ethnicity, beliefs, backgrounds, they don't matter.  We all have been able to keep a very delicate balance of vunerability without "heart on sleeve" syndrome, personal strength without cockiness.  I think it's fair to say that we all came here with some curiosity, but also with a need for connection.  We have become a workday lifeline for each other, picking people up when their down, and knockin' 'em down if they need it!

That's friendship, and in a medium that is notorious for preditors and boogeymen.

So my salute is too ALL OF YOU!  Thanks for keeping it real, and caring enough to be honest.

JR, it's quite a thing you've started here.

Star, thanks for this thread.  This is truly "glue" in the tag game of life.

But I want other people to contribute so you aren't stepping on my toes or anything.

That was nice what you said, Wef and Hartz.

Star, this was an incredibly nice thread you started, and I want to thank you for the nice things you said about ALL of us. You know I've always told you that you are an incredibly important part of the station. All you have ot do is look at the charts that show our monthly activity and the spikes that occured after you became an active member say it all.

When I started this station I was living out in a small way a childhood dream. When JD took an interest and wanted to take part in it that made it even more fun. But the REAL enjoyment came when all of you signed up for the forum and became the community that we have today.

In many ways I have to believe this is more enjoyable than actually working as a DJ for a broadcast radio station.

You have the obvious advantages. No corporation dictating what you can and can't say. We aren't pigeon-holed into playing on a certain genre. We don't have to limit the size of our playlist. The list goes on and on.

But the BIGGEST advantage is that this station is a DIALOGUE, not a monologue. I doubt very highly that many regular DJs have the opportunity to have this kind of give and take with their listeners. As a result I doubt very highly that many radio stations have the loyal audience that we do.

YOU GUYS TRULY MAKE THIS MORE FUN THAN I EVER THOUGHT IT COULD BE!

The only negative is that just as it was starting to take off I had to go back to work, and as a result I struggle to find the time to spend with you all. But that day is coming again soon.

I truly feel as if I have friends across the country now. You'll see what I mean when I show up to crash on your couch

Hopefully! We can hope! We can begin to plan!

Step 1. Find a bus

Step 2. Save for & buy the bus

Step 3. Hope gas is not $8 a gallon

Step 4. Get off time from work.

Step 5. See if we can find an independent film producer to film the adventure. Maybe fund it??

Step 6. Make sure my AAA card will work in emergencies

etc

its a long term plan. This station was created as a dream from nothing more than an old transitor radio,a door bell and 80 ft of aluminum foil. Oh and windows 3.2. A country wide bus tour shouldn't be THAT hard. I can build one if necessary. Or me and Riggs can take unicycle lessons...
