Some help those counselors were!  But you also need to concentrate on why you're not getting a divource.  It has to be more than just for your kids, you both just need to recognize what it is.  And that's probably a hard thing to do right now, especially for him.  I would guess that he doesn't know what to feel, especially with the physical problems with your family, and you're probably in a delicate state too, that he thinks his best course of action is just to keep his distance.  I don't know your relationship, these are only guesses and something for you to think about.

If I could figure out how to do it, I would put my favorite picture of Cher on here.  I took the picture at the MGM concert.  I was in the front.  So close I could see her eye shadow.  Every time she gazed in my direction, I melted and turned into a blithering idiot.  She just smiled and waved.

I have luck just doing right click (on the picture), copy, then go to the  FF post and right click again and paste.


It usually works.

I will have to take pictures or scan in my autographed pictures of Cher. They are hanging just two feet to my left, and just below my speakers.  Sigh, my Cher. My wife laughs at me, but like I said, she has an autographed photo of David Hasselhoff and Viggo Mortensen on her desk.
