Good morning, all! Yup... I'm up already. Not sure what to do with this day... don't think the boy will be up to work on the house. That might be okay since I think it is supposed to thunderstorm later. If it holds off, I might try to power wash parts of the house.
I do have to go to the wuzband's Dr's appointment with him today basically because he is being a big, giant wussy. His primary care Dr wanted him to go see a urologist about his diabetes and he is finally getting in after several months of reschedules. He's convinced that he is going to be told that he only has months to live. I've been hearing this for years... I'm relatively convinced that nuclear warfare could happen and the ****roaches, Spams, Twinkies, and Kev will still exist.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone. Ughhh, right now it's 75 and muggy. I can't say I'm ready for summer weather.
This is the last week of school for our kids, well except that Isaac has to go to a summer reading program. He knows the words and makes the 100 board on almost every spelling test, and he has excellent comprehension; he just doesn't read fast enough for state requirements.
Are we giving up coffee, Mz?
Hope the dr appt goes well, Mema.
Everyone, have a fantabulous day!

Morning all. Still cloudy with occasional rain here. It is supposed to clear out and we are due to see the sun again. I would like this workday to fly by. Yesterday was a bit too slow for me.
Work on.

We don't have a drip coffee maker because we have so many gadgets we have to sacrifice something for counter space. And I'm not ready to give up my bread maker, slow cooker, toaster, microwave, ice cream maker, or margarita maker blender.
We have a french press and a coffee siphon that we think make better coffee anyway.
I got here at the shop and realized what a nice morning it would be to wage war on some weeds. A nice cool 55 degrees (then) and no wind at all. So, I just finished spraying. I pushed 30 gallons of spray through my backpack sprayer. I'm pooped. That's a lotta pumping the handle . . . . but I got the whole acre sprayed. Die WEEDS . . . DIE!
Today is the boy's last day of school. He gets out in about 1/2 hr (11:30). He was so excited last night he could hardly stand it. I'm going to stay home with him and let him do what he wants for a week until he starts back at daycare on June 1st. I've got plenty of billing and shed building I can do at home to keep my busy for a few days.
Goodbye neighbors! The people next door to the shop here are moving out today. The big moving truck is here and they are packing up. Now, I hope I can get someone somewhat friendly living next door.
I sprayed mine on Sunday. Not that I had nearly as many to spray as you Web. I originally sprayed what I could a few weeks back. I ran out of stuff. It had been windy for parts of two weekends so I didn't think it was good to do it them. I finally got back to it Sunday.

This will work good too in that since I won't be here for a few days, I don't have to worry about the dog being in the sprayed grass. It will be all safe for her by the time we return.
Reminds me of an old hockey commercial. But you have to know some hockey to compltely understand it.
There is this Candian guy who becomes a gardner and later riding around on a tractor. He is not exactly mowing the lawn. He is driving in all sorts of directions on the lawn,(I never knew if he was going to go stick side, top shelp) through the flower beds, etc. He is dressed in hockey goalie equipment and was mainly going after leaves. While he is driving around he he is yelling, "I hate you maple leafs. You remind me of Mats Sundin. Die maple leafs die!"
Mats Sundin was a great player for the Toronto Maple Leafs for years.
* It was Nike commercial.

I don't think I've seen that commercial. That's funny, though.
Well, we are ONE HOUR into summer break and the boy is BORED.
He said something about "I wish I could go to Angie's (daycare) now, I'd have more fun there than just being at home." I said "Well, I bet you can go there tomorrow if you'd rather, I just thought you would WANT to be home a few days." He said "no, I'd rather go there and play".
So, I'm callin' Angie to see if it's ok and if so, he's going there tomorrow.
I called the sitter and she's gone to a funeral tomorrow, so he's going on Thursday. It doesn't matter much to me. If he'd rather go there to play with the other kids, that's fine with me.
You got a tractor at 10?!? I didn't get one until I was 35 and it was a used piece of junk that died a couple years later.
As I suspected, the Kev is not dying. His new doctor thinks he needs to be put on an insulin pump. Figures his pancreas isn't working at all and says that he is on the wrong dose of one insulin and is probably on some meds he doesn't need to be on. All of that is probably why he is not feeling so well these last several months. New doc also wants to send him to a dietician because he eats like a moron.... not that he hasn't been told before (even professionally) that eating a half gallon of ice cream every night is a bad idea. So in other words, I could have been home working on the house. But thanks to all for the well wishes.
The boy decided to come back up and help me work on the house again. He finished up the trim and the door seal on the garage, so the construction part of that is now complete. He's staying the night tonight and is going to install my new front door tomorrow. I'm so excited. While he was finishing the garage door openings, I started scraping the old paint off the back wall of the garage. That job SUCKS. Ah well... its almost done. With luck I will get it Kilz'd in between helping with the new front door.
