O.K., I realize that most probably don't care, but..........


HOCKEY IS BACK!


The childishness is over and some sense has been returned to the NHL.  I can't wait to get my hands on some Hawks tickets.  I want o go to the United Center with a banner that says:


"YOU OWE US, BIG TIME!!"

Milwaukee doesn't have a pro team, so we were sort of immune to the strike up here. I'd be cool to have a team tho...

i used to be a Rangers fan, but sheesh... professional sports has gotten out of hand. 


i still watch the red sox... every now and again


but i think hockey has lost me...    we shall see, i didn't miss it as much as i thought i would.   other things filled in the time.

Do still have the admirals- but yea not pro- wow I don't think I've seen an admirals game since cub-scouts! LOL


I know sometimes the Blackhawks come up for an exibition game or two in the pre-season. Would like to check that out...

'Fuzzed, the Flyers were my hope for the last Stanley Cup - two years ago!  You had all those great former Blackhawks.  Roenik, Amonte, Zhamnov, who knows what the teams will look like now?  I know Roenik is on his way out of Philly. he still has an acidic tounge.


JD, the Admirals have a good rivalry started with the Chicago Wolves.  That's been the best hockey we've had in town for a while.

WFTR - the Philadelphia Phantoms got the best of your Wolves in the Calder Cup. I think Almonte is gone. so are LeClair and someone else. Who knows how long JR will last. We shall see what falls out when camp starts.

Not to worry Dylan.  There is nothing that could replace the thrill of our GB/CHI war, but there is something about hockey.  If you have never experienced watching someone launched into the boards by a poetic but brutal hip-check, never seen the super-human grace of a man reacting to a piece of rock flying towards him at 100 mph,  never seen the subtle brilliance of a wrist shot gently lobbed over the glove side, then you haven't lived!

We actually have a minor league or whatever you call it team here- the Stingrays. I grew up watching the Blackhawks and I still love the toothless ones! We go to see the hockey games often. They are very big here because SC has no sports teams!!! Plus no one from here is really from here so we are all really northerners looking for some warmth, but retaining our love for cold things!
