We are really hoping that today is the day the feds come in and take over the bank. That will mean a working weekend for Mrs Web as they set up under new ownership, but at least the waiting will be over. Rumors are today, we'll see.
I'm ticked at me. I picked up the boy and went home yesterday planning on a 7:15pm baseball game. I didn't roll up the windows and lock the van because we'd be going back out in just a few hours. I thought to myself "If it looks like rain, don't forget to roll up the windows." It rained. I rained hard for a good 1/2 hour. I forgot. I have a wet van interior.
Aw man, I've done that before Web. I've also gotten the "it's going to rain" warnings, but was too busy with what I was doing to go roll my windows up. I ended up running out in the pouring rain and getting soaked myself.
I'm hungry. It was one of those mornings where I just couldn't get it all together to get ready. In fact, I just remembered that I didn't put the ribs in the crock pot. So I was running late and didn't stop for coffee or pick up anything to eat.
I am here. I am glad it is Friday. I am tired. And moody. Being angry all work week can really drain you.
I am glad that I decided to close the sun roof before I went into play darts last night. We got our downpour somewhere around 9pm. The thunder and lightning existed before that.
Is it time to go home yet?

Okay, all done. I am ready to toss it your way. I'm going to wrap it in the aluminum foil so it stays warm and the butter doesn't drip off. Are you ready to catch it?

Never a good idea to leave your windows down. I close em' no matter what. Even if it don't rain, why let the bee's in? Hmm? You wanna be driving along when suddenly you feel that burning sensation on your leg or side as a bee sinks his stinger into you? I didn't think so. ALWAYS CLOSE YOUR WINDOWS KIDS. That's today's lesson from uncle Jeremy.
We got rain here too. But I don't care cus I'm off work.
Good day, all. I'm trying to not be angry this morning, but I'm getting a bit irritated at how many times I have been billed for a single night stay at a very expensive hotel. I just got billed for it AGAIN today. That makes 3 times now. Twice by Expedia, who was nice enough to send me a refund receipt but not actually credit my account, and now directly by the hotel. To me, $552 is a lot to pay for one night at a hotel.
Otherwise, its a nice day.

I would like to! The dude from Expedia kept me on the phone for over an hour yesterday trying to get the one charge cleared up. I got the refund receipt in my e-mail, so I figured I should have a credit to my account. Nope. Called back today and they say it will take 7-10 business days for my money to be back in my account. THAT is some massive BS. Can't even explain the extraneous charge directly from the hotel. I was transfered to a lady in accounting where I got her voicemail message indicating that she is out of the office but would be back on June 2 and that if I need assistance immediately I should dial 0. When I dialed 0, it sent me right back to her voicemail.

FINALLY! I got through to someone who is actually in accounting at that hotel. That lady informed me that the charge was for my "second night". Well, I didn't stay a second night, and if I had, it would have been booked through Expedia... which technically it was, but they are issuing me a credit since it was booked twice because of an error I encountered while using their website. None the less, it would have been paid through Expedia anyway. Soooo... I get to wait 3-5 business days for that refund.
At least that call only took me 5 minutes.

Here's what I wonder beyond "how the heck do I get that phone set up?"... Why is it that when I pay for something with my bank card it gets posted immediately to my account but when I am getting a refund it takes 3-10 business days?

It easily takes that long. They are trying to hold onto the money as long as they can. Plus, someone will go through everything again to ensure you are due the refund.
I would have asked why it takes so long to issue the refund when they weren't entitled to it in the first place.

There is that too. I can totally understand why I was billed twice by Expedia. The first time I went through their website I got an error message right at the end when I was waiting for the screen that said my reservation was complete. The error indicated that I needed to try again, so I did.. hence the second booking. The lovely people at the hotel desk just never mentioned the second reservation to me.
What I don't get is where the hotel gets off directly billing me for $159 when nothing was charged to my room other than the $18 for valet parking which was separately billed to my account, and the reservations were prepaid through Expedia... who for the record billed me $196 per night. I wonder if that is their standard practice just to see what they can get away with? This is a higher end hotel, so most of the guests are spending some serious bank to stay there.

Weather permitting, I will be doing some painting. I'd like to have the doorbell back and the remote keypad for the garage door opener. Gotta do some trim painting for those two things to happen.
