OK, I didn't get any pictures of the lions...  But, I thought I'd post a few pictures of our trip to the zoo yesterday because it was so much fun!


This is the tiger getting ready to pounce on some birds (the birds ended up flying away before he pounced).


This is the bear who is chewing away at a phonebook.


This is my husband with the lorikeets.  They really liked him.


This is me and the walrus.


And this is me and my hubby in the gardens.

Nothing like a day at the zoo. Did you go to the underwater dolphin dome? I've heard it's very cool. How about the Lorikeets. Their colors look like they were painted on. It seems that they can't be that bright and vibrant.

I think the lorikeets were my husband's favorite.  Their colors are more vibrant than in the picture even!  You can actually go into their enclosure and they'll sit on your arm, and the keeper will sometimes give you this milk stuff that you can give them to drink.


The dolphin exhibit was cool, but would've been better if people were following the rules.  You walk through this glass tunnel and into a huge dome where you can see all the dolphins swimming.  There are signs everywhere that ask you to whisper and not tap on the glass, but there were kids in the dome yelling and hitting the glass, so the dolphins were staying as far away from it as possible.

Oh, and for the record, my husband usually smiles more, but I had the camera on timer so we could get a picture of both of us together, and I don't think he was expecting it to go off yet!


And fox maybe better describes the night before not in the pics above, I was dressed for comfort and dripping with sweat in those pictures, far from fox, more like pig!
