Hump Day

Good day all.

I did laundry right before bed last night.  So I laid my still-warm-out-of-the-dryer skirt out to wear today.  I didn't notice until just now that it is covered in cat fur.  I think my black skirt was used as a bed last night.

Mz, your kitty wants to say "Thanks for the nice warm bed, Mom!"  smile

I'm cleaning house and listening to the station this morning.  It's raining here (again!) but supposed to reach 78* today.  Not sure if that's going to happen without any sun.

Good morning, folks!  It's a rainy morning in the Tulsa metro.  I don't so much mind the rain; it's the humidity after the sun comes out that I dread...

Yay!  The station is up this morning!

Morning all. It is cloudy and cool this morning. The rain will be moving in later. It is okay. I think we could use it. My lawn certainly is starting to look as if it needs it.

Morning all-  Sad day.  Found out our cat's that been missing since we left on our trip more than likely met an unhappy ending.  We were hoping she went around the neighborhood looking for company while we were gone.  Not so...Neighbor said she found her collar the other day in her yard with quite a bit fur around the area.  Of the two sister cats we had, this was the one my younger daughter was attached to and slept with every night.

Hump day it is.

The boy had a baseball game last night. It was supposed to start at 8:30pm. They didn't get on the field until 9:00 due to another game running long. With 9-10 year olds pitching, it can take a while. It was 11:20pm when we pulled out of the parking lot to head home. Mrs Web went home a little early. It was cold and damp (dew). I was shivering by the time we got done. A late night, hot shower felt really good.

Today, the boy is at a baseball camp. Several Husker ball players are here putting on a day long camp. He'll have fun.

Hump on.

I am glad he is still enjoying playing ball Web. nod.gif

Even if school is out, 8:30 is a little late to have 9-10 year olds on the field.

G'mornin' gang.

I think this is gonna be a pretty good day. I worked at a new building last night that I think I'm going to enjoy a lot more than my current one (not sure when the switch will be made permanent but hopefully soon). The new building has different hours so I get home an hour earlier which is sweet. ZERO traffic at 5 AM when I'm leaving.

I woke up to an email from an old friend that might have a better job opportunity for me (YAY!).

It's nice and sunny out, and tonight I'll be starting my second to last night of the week. All is good in Jeremy land!

I hope everyone else is having a good day too! Carry on!

OH, and a special note for Fuzzy, didja see how we broke the Cubbies hearts with a come from behind win in the bottom of the ninth last night? They're REALLY regretting letting us steal Casey McGeeHee from them these days. He's leading the NL in RBI while their 3B Ramirez is their worst hitter! HA!

Sorry I missed that JR. Glad they could beat down the Cubs. The Phillies are still struggling. I think they have lost 10 out of their last 15. They were at least 6 shutouts in there and a couple of 1 run games. The Phils came back on the Marlins last night. They were down 6-3, tied it, were behind again and then came back and got the winning runs in the bottom of the 8th. Maybe this will help them get out of their funk. They scored 10 runs last night.

You know it's weird, the Brewers have been shut out a bunch too.

If there's anything you WOULDN'T expect from these two clubs it would be for them to be shut out on a regular basis.  I don't ever recall a season in which I've seen a Brewers team get blanked so much.

We had a four game series in SD where we got shut out three times, you guys of course had the three straight against the Mets.

What do you think the issue is there?  Just pure coincidence or is there something more to it?

I did notice the big run production from you guys last night.  Good goin', hopefully they're outta their funk until they play us again.  smile.gif

The Phillies just couldn't hit. They all stopped hitting at the same time. They weren't getting the timely hits that they have been able to get a times in the past. They lost Sunday's game in extra innings. It never should have even gotten to extras. You can't leave the bases loaded with less than 2 outs three times in a game and expect to win. It was a bad time to hit the skids. They played all these games in the division. You know those head to head loses hurt more. At some point the Phils will go on a tear and everyone better get out of the way. I hope it happens soon. If the Phils can go on a 10 game winning streak, that would help turn them around.

Yeah I agree. The difference with your guys and the Brewers is that you have the pitching.

The Crew's season is essentially over already because we just don't have the pitching to get back into this thing.

Did you see we released Suppan finally? Thank God. If ever there's a case of addition by subtraction it's this!

The sad thing is we owe him $12.5 million this year and then $2.5 for a buyout of the final year in 2011. Some team (like you or the Cardinals) can pick him up for the league minimum and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he pitched really well down the stretch. I think the curse of the crew just bit him here.

I did see that. It does suck that they owe him all that money. I don't see why baseball can't be like football in that respect. If you get cut because you suck, then you don't get paid.

You are right, we have the pitching. And the sad thing is, for most of those 10 losses, out pitchers pitched well. If you only give up 2 or 3 runs you should win the game.

AAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH... this day has been out of control! With that said, hi all!

Went to the office for an in-person meeting with one of our cable partners this morning. It was sort of a waste of my time, but the company likes to put on a good show. We had our customer outnumbered by something like 7-1. laughing.gif My entire contribution was to show up nicely dressed, smile, introduce myself, then sit there and smile and nod through the presentation. I do that sort of thing very well, but I sure don't enjoy it.

Got home expecting to work on the house a bit, but that didn't happen either. Jeremy did come by, but was not feeling well so he just did the kid exchange with Anna as Marshall was staying with him for the last 5 or so days, then went on home. We will get back to it this weekend, weather permitting. Just as well as I ended up being quite busy with a couple of issues from work this afternoon.

Hopefully the rest of this evening will go smoothly... not too much can mess up from here I hope. smile.gif Now I shall go catch up on what has been going on around here all day.
