NOW what are you listening to?

When I'm not listening to a World Cup game, I've been using Slacker.  But lately, I've been giving up on Slacker and switching to Pandora.

I like Slacker better, but the player can be finicky.  I tried downloading their desktop player, but you can only listen to 10 songs a day on it without paying.  They say it works on Opera, but I can never get it to play.  No errors or anything, just doesn't play.  Then sometimes I have to reload it multiple times to make it work in Firefox or IE.

I open Pandora in Opera, and it just starts playing.  So, Pandora it is for now.

Nothing good... the "pink noise" generator and a couple of my co-workers.

Same.

Occasionally I will put Pandora on. But since it is limited to 40 hours per month free, I am not on it too often. If I do play any tunes during the day, they are from my portable harddrive.

I'm not listening to anything today. I hop around from Pandora to Live365, but nothing keeps me hooked.

What is "pink-noise"?  confuse  Someone jibber-jabbering? confuse

Right NOW, I'm watch/listen/ing to Thursday's "Tekzilla" episode.

For web radio, I'm still using Slacker.

My office has a built in white noise generator. Fuzzy refers to them as pink noise generators. smile.gif I was just using her term.

It is like listening to a heating/cooling system run all day. I wish they would turn up the pink noise in our section. I don't really want to hear what is going on around me. no.gif

I find that it is an ineffective sound inhibitor. I can still hear the people several rows away talking. They are just talking over the hissing / static noise.

The white noise was louder when we first moved into this place. It was up so that you had a hard time actually hearing the person next to you. After a few months they turned it down. Then I could hear people from every which way. I sit in a bad place. no.gif

I don't know why they bother with that thing anyway. It is just annoying.

Not FFR.
I'm trying other stuff. FFR was the lam-o stuff but, I liked it. It was cool because, the people running it, we're REAL. Tons of fake **** out there.
JR, I'll show U Da Money.

I've been listening to my local rock station.  With all the summer concerts going on, they've been having lots of free ticket giveaways (be a certain number caller).  Maybe I'll get lucky and win a pair.

Right now I'm listening to my husband's radio show Noize in the Attic. smile.gif

Then I'll go back to Slacker. Aside from the commercials (which are really pretty few) and having to click every couple of hours to say 'yes I'm still here', I have no problems with it. It even allows you to skip a few songs a day. So if something horrendous like say, Mariah Carey, comes on, you can blow right by it.

Which reminds me... Another great thing about FFR is that we seldom were tortured with Mariah or Celine  bleh

Sad thing is I used to LOVE Mariah when she first came out. Reminded me of Whitney Houston, seemed like a real class act that would go down in history as a classic singer. Instead they both started changing their musical styles to suit the times and eventually became jokes. no.gif

Agreed - "a class act" is exactly what I thought at first.  Now she's a ho.   weirdface.gif
