Good day, all. I'm so glad it is WFH day for me. It has been a long, long week. I'm looking forward to spending the weekend with my boys. BOTH of them. It should be fun.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Hey all! Things have been extremely hectic. One of the things is that The Girl graduated and her grad party is Saturday. I don't get a lot of time to myself these days and am always on the go. It's exhausting. However I am hoping that things will settle at least somewhat and maybe I can be back partially next week.
I hope you are all well!

I'd love to nap. Unfortunately, I need to go rent a 32 foot ladder so the wuzband can paint the high part of the north wall of my house. I have my reservations about how well this will go.

Morning. I have been doing that dreaded paperwork thing. I am trying to get all the monthly, quarterly and annual sales and use tax returns I do scanned and saved out on the network. This will benefit us in a couple of ways. The biggest will be greatly reduced waiting time to find older documentation for an audit. I won't need to recall it from storage. The other being every time my boss asks to see a prior year's return for comparison.
Take folder, scan contents, go to email, identify file and save it to the appropriate place. Oh yeah, did I also mention I am setting up the subdirectories to have a home for this stuff? I need to do 3 years worth of this stuff. Boring. After that I probably should scan all the annual reports and PPT returns I do. At least the local income tax returns for KY, MO, OH and OR are already completed for the 3 years. That must be some progress.
Maybe DS will come over and help me.
Scan on.

The boy and I will be bachelors this weekend as Mrs Web heads to Greely Colorado with one of her friends to see Keith Urban Saturday night. She is way excited. The Karate Kid and Toy Story 3 (3d) are here at the theater. I might let him pick which one he wants to see and we could do that together.
I'm considering a netbook. I have almost enough credit card points for another $250 gift card at Sears (the last one bought our Blu-Ray player). That would pay a big chuck of a modest netbook. I'm thinking having a netbook ready to go would be handy to grab when I'm just going to be out a few hours rather than packing up my big laptop and taking my stuffed, heavy backpack. Plus, if it were to get stolen out of the van, they wouldn't get near as much as if they got this (main) laptop.

But, an accounting girl such as yourself understands that the value of a dollar is somewhat higher out here in the heartland then it is there on the East side. So, it would seem that it would be a more prudent use of the $250 card to keep and use that purchased product here where it has a potentially higher perceived value.
It's just good economic sense . . . don't you agree?
Agreed. I did a stint with a golden retriever. I won't leave a dog home all day by itself. I spend way too much of the day away from the house. And that isn't fair to the dog.
