MOVIE REVIEW: Meat Loaf Live

Ok, so it's not a movie, it's a concert DVD. Meat Loaf Live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

Now, I'm a bit biased because I beleive Meat is the worlds GREATEST artist (note, I said ARTIST, NOT singer). I've never seen a person put more into his concerts. This guy looks physically exhausted half way through his concert and he still makes it all the way to the end with full enthusiasm.

As a result, he's the only artist in which money is no object for me (probably very much like Cher is to CP). So I was at Best Buy looking for Dylans B-Day gift when I stumble upon this concert DVD. It's waaaaaaaay overpriced, but that doesn't matter, because as I said, price is no object when it comes to the Loafster.

Well, let me tell you. I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED! This concert ROCKED! If you are a Loaf fan you will LOVE this DVD! Two plus hours of scorching rock withhis trademark over the top theatrical flair.

I've mentioned on this forum a few times that a year ago I bought one of those nine foot projection televisions, mostly for football, but I've come to LOVE watching concerts on that thing with the speakers blaring. This concert was the best yet on that thing!

I pulled the couch up to about four feet away from the nine foot screen and it was like being there in the front row!

In fact, this morning I woke up singing "I'd Do Anything For Love" and feeling as if I'd been at a concert the night before.

THIS VIDEO ROCKS!!! BUY IT!!!! BUY SEVERAL COPIES!!!!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG LIVE THE LOAF!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

(he has a second show tonight if anyones interested it starts at 9 PM sharp )

Nah, Dylan doesn't seem to understand the POWER of the Meat Loaf. He's mostly indifferent to this AWESOME, AWESOME artist.

Dylans not so much a Rock N' Roll guy, he prefers the more melodic stuff like the Beatles.

Get this, HE DOESN'T EVEN LIKE THE ROLLING STONES!!!!! That's unthinkable to me!

I actually picked up Third Rock From The Sun - Season One for him, only to be told his sister got him that already, so now he gets NUTHIN!!!!!!!

Actually,

I was just going to open the copy I bought and tell Dylan it's his "Back-Up" copy in case something ever goes wrong with his set.

That seems reasonable to me
