Morning. Finally checking in. I already managed to spend an hour on the phone with the boss. That was fun. Since he called within the first 10 minutes of me being here, I then had to do the usual morning things, read my mail and have something to eat. I have been doing some research too.
Work on.

Good day, all. Not much to report here so far... which is kinda nice. I have a feeling the peace of this day will not last.
Right now it is about 78* and very humid. There is another storm front headed my way. YAY more rain. Ah well... the nice thing is that this week is almost half way over.
Hope everyone has a great day.

It was a close game. We were ahead 3-1 when they tied it up in the bottom of the 4th. We didn't score in the top of the 5th. They had two outs, just one more would have meant a 6th inning when they got a hit and got a runner home. Oh well, it was fun and the kids all really improved over the season.
I've been preoccupied this morning. We forgot the boy's swim stuff to take with us to daycare. Then, I forgot to drop the boy off at daycare . . . about 6 blocks past where I should have turned, I looked over and he was still with me . . . I thought "this ain't right". He was 1/2 asleep too and not paying any attention.
So, I dropped him off, went back home and put the fertilizer and bug killer on the lawn, got his swim stuff, took that to him, and now I'm in the office.
I just called our vet to get our dog a kennel appointment while we are gone to Colorado. They are rebuilding their dog runs that week so they can't take her.
There is one other kennel in town but we tried them once and it was not a good experience. Other people have said they will NEVER use that kennel again.
Now, I gotta figure out what to do with the dog. I'm thinking find a kennel in North Platte (1.5 hrs from here) which is on the way to Colorado and drop her off on the way and pick her up coming home.
My wife has cousins and aunts in Denver. We'll be there five days, then two more days in Colorado Springs with more cousins and friends. I'm meeting one of my better clients for lunch one day too.
The aunts are old and not in the best of health. Unless we go back soon, this may be the last time we see them.
We really don't have much planned. The cousins are lining some stuff up, but most of the time will be about just being with them.
I've been fighting an odd cold since Sunday. Actually, I'm not sure if it's actually "odd" or if the Zicam I've been taking has just kept it from really getting ahold of me.
For the most part I feel my best while I'm awake, but my absolute worst when I first get up. The coughing all seems like it comes from the throat, not the chest if that makes any sense. It's really hard to describe, but different from my normal cold.
Anyway, I hope everyones having a good day.
Web, why not tell the neighbors to watch your dog? You've taken care of theirs enough. Just be sure to wait until you're on the road before you call and tell em you need a favor.
Hi guys! It's been so miserably hot and humid here since Saturday;we've topped 90 every day but today was the worst....we hit 99 degrees! In a way I'm glad I'm not camping this week....too dang hot for that. Extended weather forecast says it's supposed to cool down into the mid to high 80s next week.
JR, hope you won't get that full blown cold! I think summer colds are worse than winter ones.
Web, too bad I live so far away from you.....I'd puppy-sit your girl while you'll be on vacation.
