I have been in the office for an hour, had my cereal and now want a nap. I am not sure that will make for the best of days. It is overcast now, but the sun is suppose to be out in full force later. And the humidity is finding its way back into the area. I suppose I better go get some mail posted.
Work on.

The drama with the ex-roomie's wife just keeps getting worse. Here's the story so far:
In high school (20+ years ago), Ex-Roomie dated Rex (seems like a good abbreviation for "ex-roomie's soon to be ex-wife").
2 months ago, they reconnected and rekindled. (It may actually be less than 2 months, but you get the drift.)
1 month ago, they got married.
3 weeks ago, Rex took off. She didn't tell him where she was going, didn't say she was leaving, and didn't take anything with her. Since then, Ex-Roomie has been going nuts trying to find her. He even filed a missing persons report.
Last weekend, she texted him. She said she needed some time to sort her life out and was coming back. She said she'd call him after her friend that she was staying with got home, and he could come pick her up. If you hadn't guessed, she didn't call.
Yesterday, she shows back up and says that she had been at a rehab center for the past 3 weeks. That they took her phone away from her for the first 10 days, so she didn't have any way to contact him.
Yesterday afternoon while she was taking a nap, he looked through her phone. He found picture messages that included nude pictures of her sent to her ex-husband. He also found reciprocating pictures. So as you can expect, they had a big fight. She told him that he had to find somewhere else to stay for the night. (For the record, this is his house that he rented before he even met up with Rex again. In fact, his ex-girlfriend's name is on the lease.)
Last night, Ex-Roomie crashed on our couch. He was saying he was going to go back over to his house and sleep in his own bed, but I'm kind of glad that he didn't. I could see them yelling at each other and the cops showing up, and usually it's the man that ends up in the cuffs.
This morning, I am tired physically and mentally, and I forgot my coffee at home.
Sorry for the long post, I just needed to get that all out.
I just found out that Saturday evening I'll be driving a brand new Chevy pickup through the county fair parade for the bank. The dealership owner is friends with the branch president so he's letting them use the new pickup (with advertising, I assume) and I'll be driving so the employees can walk along and hand out money (nickles) and frozen popsicles. The boy is super excited about getting to ride along and throw things out.

Whew! I am exhausted just reading about all that mess Mz. I hope he can settle things quickly and move on. And you guys don't have to deal with any added drama.

Wow, Mz... sounds like a crazy situation. I love small town parades. Hope y'all have a fun time, Web.
Tomorrow we begin our annual trek west to visit my mom for the next 10 days. Isaac and I are all packed except for our toothbrushes. We'll load up tonight and move out at 0600 tomorrow.
The weather here is supposed to be nasty hot -- in the 100's while I'm gone. I checked the extended at my mom's and it will be perfect -- in the low to mid 80's and no humidity.

You should fear anything that can bleed for seven days without dying... (as told to Mr. DS on 3-12-10)
Good day, all. I'm trying to make me get in the mood to audit some stuff I built about a year ago so we can move forward with a project that has been on hold for all this time due to some needed software upgrades. In other words... pretty boring day for me, and a couple of nights I will have to work next month on this implementation.
My weather looks to be about high 80's to low 90's for the next several days. I wouldn't know what a day without high humidity would be like... good thing I won't be finding out any time soon.
Dang, Mz... I believe I could sum up my thoughts on that situation with the simple phrase, " Oh, HELL to the NO!". Best wishes to your friend.
DS... hope you have a great time on your trip.
Fuzzy... post on.
Web... have fun. I've been in a few small town parades. They are loads of fun.
