I think running the jazz show a little long and then throwing in some 'fun' stuff is a great way to wind down the weekend . side note- I see a day in the not to distant future were we'll (the audience) have to get our requests and dedications in earlier ,say noon on Thursday, so our illustrius DJ will have time to put it all together by Sunday .
sigh , it's getting late and I have to go , was a great sunday evening ! time to turn it over to the night crew . good nite all and have a great FFR week !
JD, great show last night! MrHartz was on the computer, so I didn't get to chat along, but we did listen, and he really liked it! Thanks for the Zappa!
cool! When I started to do the show a couple years ago, I knew it would be a long shot. Some of my earliest fan mail: "A jazz show on an 80's station?? YOU ARE DUMB!!!" "Nobody likes jazz but old men and weirdos!" "YOu are going to tick everybody off and there will be no listeners". "If you play jazz, I will find you and kill you!!!!!" But I developed a great base of Sunday Night Jazz lovers, and now just a bunch of the forum folks are showing up too- that's just awesome! Thanks so much for tuning in! Makes it very worth while!! JD
Okay. Let's assess this situation. First, did you ever think maybe it was just JR messing with you? Second, are you dumb? I don't think so. Third, are you old and/or wierd? We know that you are not old. It remains to be seen if you are wierd. Just kidding. We know that you are just as weird as the rest of us. Fourth, have you ticked everybody off? I don't think so. You have you base of listeners and now that some of the forum hangs out with you, you are technically growing. Fifth, you are just making that stalking one up.
Jazz on!
