Has anyone even heard Kim Carnes; Drawing of the Cards?? 


How did this get to #1? 


I hear Crazy in the Night almost every day.


Does it matter if the song plays or if it is just requested?

I've actually never requested it, but I heard it playing for the first time this weekend and it's actually not bad.

All these years and I FIRST heard it on Sunday morning. Go figure.

No, it had been there at # 2 or # 3 all along Web Guy.

I had just commented to Dylan on Friday that Kim Carnes had two songs in the top five, which is really hard to do when we limit the requesting of an artist to only once every six hours.

It's not suprising to me that it's up there, it's just surprising it beat out Crazy In The Night. You know, you guys may just not remember hearing it because it doesn't sound like a Kim Carnes song.

There's a chorus of guys or something that keeps chiming in on the song.

Yeah, Mellencamp has finally started falling back to the pack.

At one point it had 32 points and a fairly big lead over #2 and #3, now they're all so close that every time I look at the list I'm expecting a new number one.

I really like that chart now that it's FINALLY working right and keeping the tally from a specific time-period as opposed to a running total.

I'm personally surprised to see the popularity of Draw Of The Cards here.   I guess somebody should notify Kim Carnes to let her know the followup to Bette Davis Eyes FINALLY hit #1, 24 years later, lol.    DOTC peaked at #28 in September 1981, so it's popularity here is a real shocker.    I like the video more than the song, I see it on VH1 Classic every so often, it's very messed up.
