There's nothing like playing a REAL team to learn how pathetic your team is!
It's like the Cardinals are a MAJOR LEAGUE club and the Brewers are a triple A team.
It's amazing to watch how this Cardinal ballclub does all the small things right. I was sure we were only a year away from contending, now I think we're atleast 2 or 3 years away.
We need to learn the fundamentals of baseball before we can hope to win any divisions!
Abso-dang lutely!!! Let me check the calendar when I get home- we can nail down a date! FOr some reason I think I've got something going on on the 8th....what I do not remember....but absolutely one of them days!

They're a hard team to watch right now. Kind of Jeckyll and Hyde like. One night they look like world beaters against a team, the next night they look like it's their first week in the bigs.
But when they play a team like St. Louis it REALLY is like they just don't belong there. If they made the playoffs they'd be swept in the first round because they just don't have the killer instinct a good, play-off caliber team has.
I don't know how you get that though. I think they need to experience some success so they can start carrying themselves like they are winners.
Their voodoo luck won't work against a real team. Just remember, the Phillies still have a better record and are better contenders in the wild card chase.

Awwwwww Come on Fuzzy, you know they're only doing better because they're in a weaker division.
With the schedule weighted to where you play teams in your own division 18 times each we're at a big disadvantage with the Cards & Cubs in our division. You just have to worry about Atlanta, everyone else is a pretender.
And I STILL can't figure out how Atlanta is holding themselves together. We had no problem handling them when we went down there.
JR - I told you the game was not over yet when the Phillies were down 2-1 in the 7th. They busted it open in the 8th and added a few in the 9th for the 8-4 win.
GO PHILLIES!
And let me tell you Mr. Smartypants, you were babbling about playing in weaker division over here and not being able to play against top teams. But the Phils have played the Cubs and Cardinals six times each this year. You said something about 18 games vs teams within division. I have done my research and the Phillies wouldn't be too bad off. They are 4-2 against both teams this year. Doing some math, 12-6 against two tops teams would still beat what your stinky Brewers are doing against these teams.
Bring on the football and the hockey season!

I saw this thread name and had to read. The Brewers don't suck. They are just...well, the whole 500 thing I think really fazes them. Plus St. Louis is a good team.
