RE: Jewelry

No jewelery, cept maybe a toe ring,  here during the week.   I am a pretty quick typist, but if i am clinking around with rings, or bracelets I type a bit slower, i am always on the phone, so i hate earings and they get caught in my big wild hair a lot ( i like big hoops and danglies)

i never wear a watch.   I am never late nor early.  I arrive precisely when i mean to...

when i dress up for going out, I go whole hog though.

I guess that's why I find it really interesting- the linneage throughout time that is still active and vital today!

The man, the job, and the wedding ring story rings true at my house. However a few years back my husband put his hand through a table saw. He lost part of his index, middle and ring finger. The damage to the ring finger has caused permanent swelling. The only way to get off his wedding ring is to have it cut off.

And I dared him

Actually, I would understand, I do not need a ring to show the world anything. Some attention would be in order!

Not much here: watch, class ring and necklace with a soccerball and my number.

My Dad's had to be cut off.
My Mom put it into a little box in her bureau.

She said she would rather have the ring in a box and Dad's finger still on his hand.

Oh it was nothing like that Maple. The ring was never an issue. Once he had healed to the point that he was done healing, they said the knuckle would never go back to regular size and they offered to cut off the ring if he wanted to get it off. He did not. Sometimes he is intelligent!

I agree, if there was no danger better to wear it.

My Dad would have!

No rings, I wear earrings, all costume jewelry, and necklaces.

If anyone were to break into my house, they would not get much along the ling of expensive jewelry at all.

My X husband's set diamond and band are safely put away.... for what I dont' know...

My list has grown:

Of course, I still have the wedding ring and engagement ring. I've also been wearing a dolphin ring that my mom gave me on my right hand. I can't wear any bracelets on the left wrist any more, so they're all stacked on the right wrist: A medical ID bracelet, the italian charm bracelet, the green Donate Life band, and a black leather watch that my mom gave me for christmas (and it still works! I think this is the longest I've had a working watch!). And I still wear one of my husband's necklaces and some sort of matching earrings.

I'm probably overdoing it a bit, but there's a reason I wear everything I do.

I'm still wearin' ZERO jewelry that shows. I've just never been a fan of jewelry in general.

I haven't even worn a watch since I quit my last REAL job back in 1999.

I do wear two necklaces, one is a cross that I had blessed by the priest at the hospital my father was in before he passed away, and the other are his dog tags from Vietnam, which are really cool. But no one would know that I had em' unless I told em' because I wear them both under the shirt.

I guess what I'm sayin' is, I'm bling free

i don't wear jewerly anymore.  only my wedding rings and two pinky rings, both made by my daughter.

sometimes i think about accessorizing, but then someone would notice and have to make a big deal, then i'll get self conscious and wish i hadn't.

Wow, this is going to sound like I'm glitzy, but I'm not. I change it up depending on how I feel. Earrings - up to 4 in the right ear, 2 in the left. Occasionally, an ear cuff. Necklaces - whatever mood I'm in for wearing one, that's the kind I wear, from a simple diamond or ruby to a biker chain with little heart-shaped handcuffs on it, but my fave is a charm with my initials in Mayan glyphs. Rings - mostly Harley, but I like to pick up rings of different hand-made designs.  Always the right hand and usually pinky and middle finger. An occasional bracelet if it goes with the rings. Biker pins on my jean jacket. I have monkey toes so I never got into toe rings, and anklets are out for me.

I wear one piece of jewellery only and that is a ring!  An antique Victorian cabachon garnet heart surrounded by 15 rose cut diamonds!  A beautiful piece!  But it sure is a rock and a half!  I have had many offers from people wanting to buy it but no way..I'm not sellin'!!

The only jewelry I wear every day is my watch.  I'll wear four earrings when I remember to put them in.  I have two sets of pearl necklaces; one from my great-grandmother, one from a great-aunt that I wear when going out.

When it comes to jewelry, my taste tends to run to Native American pieces....either beaded jewelry or small turquoise stones set in silver....or funky, unusual kind of stuff like my necklace that's ringed with black shark teeth.  I'm not a gold or diamonds kind of gal.

I have a TON of costume jewelry.  I wear none of it most of the time.  My watches all died (I have about 10 of them).  I haven't worn my wedding ring in about 10 of the almost 14 years of marriage-I've either been bigger or smaller than I used to be.  My ears are pierced 2 or 3 times each-I wear no earrings.

Basically I'm a dude.

I am with SG, just a Fossil watch and wedding band. And even those come off every night.

Wearing jewelry just bugs me. I've tried, but just can't get used to it.

My computer has a clock, all our vehicles have clocks, my cellphone has a clock. I have no need to wear a strap around my wrist to know what time it is. So I don't.

I think it's the cell phone that got me to dump the watch almost ten years ago.

Once the cell phone was small enough to fit in a shirt pocket or pant pocket.

My first cell phone was huge.  Bought it at Radio Shack.  It was nearly as big as my home phone and I paid $80 a month for something like 30 minutes of talk time.

Why O Why do I always have to try to be the first to have something

I read an article last week that the cell phone was spelling dome for watches. I never replaced the battery in mine when it died two years ago!
