I have not been dispeased with my DMV photos generally. But I renewed my DL today and I swear my photo was taken by a woman who finished last in her remedial photography class. I have to live with a photo I can only describe as lass than flattering until the year 2018.
Does anyone else have a DMV horror story to share?
I will not post the picture...it will only be shown under authority of law. And maybe at gunpoint, but that is it.
When I first got my license, the photo was terrible. The lady didn't give me a 1,2,3 or anything, and I licked my lips right as she took the photo. So there was no showing off my license when I got it, because my tongue was sticking out!
I had a coworker who always did the two fingers "cool" pointing at the camera thing for every ID photo. His work ID, his Sam's Club card, and even his driver's license. He gave me his old Sam's Club card, I still have it somewhere.
But the best one is a friend of a friend who's muslim, so she wears a headscarf. For her driver's license picture, she picked a pretty one that matched her eyes. It also matched the blue screen background. So on her driver's license, her picture is a floating face. It's hilarious.
2018! Your license is good for 8 years? Around here we have to pay and renew it every 4 years? I don't think my picture has changed much in all these years.

Quite honestly, I've been lucky with this, and have never had a license picture that hasn't been fantastic. And up until the last one, I kept them all (stupid 9/11!) As you all know, I do love pictures! And the first drivers license I ever got was the morning of my first club show / first STRYPER concert. It was a really special day, and I always love to look back on the picture because of that.

I had a decent DL photo, then I went and got the upgrade to include motorcycles. Not sure what I was thinking, but I went to the DMV right after I took my driving test at the school. Let's just say my hairdo was not all that it could have been. Horrible picture... quite embarrassing. I would have had to live with that until next year, but back just before my birthday I misplaced my DL while out partying with some friends. I gave up looking for it after a day or two and went to get it replaced. The present picture looks a whole lot more like me and in fact sports my current hairdo.
My work ID picture is AWESOME. Not that it is such a great picture, but it is so very me at work. The picture is probably 8 years old, but that's okay. No one ever questions that it is me. Little Man says that is the look on my face when I'm about to rip someone a new one.. and that is very true. I was seconds away from going off on the security card guy to "HURRY UP AND TAKE THE F$%#ING PICTURE ALREADY!"

Typically you at work: looking like you're ready to rip someone a new one.

I read this post yesterday on one of my attempts to participate in "playtime", and it hit me like a brick wall -- "Oh crap, I was supposed to renew my driver's license last month!"
The gal, says "Ok, smile."
I was just about to say, "Do you really think I'm going to be smiling if I get pulled over," when she snapped the picture.
Yes, she did manage to caputre what I will actually look like if it happens.

Just had to get a new one least year...after using the same one for 18 years! The picture on the old one was hilarious...it was a very 1991 picture...lots of hair (it was dark at the time) a black 'stach....I looked like an illegal Mexican Immigrant...woulnd't have survived too long in Arizona...even with my ID!

I now have a mental picture of Pancho Villa
