Muesday

Good day all.

"Muesday" = the Tuesday after a 3 day weekend, which makes it feel like a Monday.

Mue on.

Howdy.

This weekend was the annual kite fly. It was fun as usual. We had an almost perfect day Saturday. Temperatures were great, wind was good, couldn't have asked for it to be any better.

I wasn't going to go back on Sunday because one of my good friends wasn't coming and at noon there still was NO wind. Shortly after noon, that same friend called and said "Where are you?". He had changed his mind and decided to come. I went back mainly just to visit with him and by 2:00 we had some good wind and ended up having a nice time flying too.

Muesday on.

Good Muesday to all. It was a good weekend for me. First of all, having the house to my self all weekend ROCKED. I got just about everything on my "to do" list done and managed to work in some fun too.

Since I did such a good job of getting my chores done I decided that I should buy me a present with some of my bonus check money (that which I did not spend on bills!). What I decided on was a propane grill. nod.gif Mine is nowhere near as fancy as Web's Traeger, but it is by far the snazziest grill I have ever owned. I still like the charcoal grill flavor better, but it is nice to not have to worry about the weather so much when I feel like grilling. And I still have a small Weber charcoal grill that will be used as appropriate.

Anyhoo... that's my story. Hope everyone had a nice weekend and that the compressed work week isn't too overwhelming. smile.gif

Mue!

Congrats on the new grill, Mema! You'll enjoy that. smile.gif

Speaking of grilling and my Traeger, we had an awesome supper last night. Mrs Web happened to pick a really good pork roast . . . it was really tender. We dug our potatoes yesterday and got 16 lbs of taters from 8 plants. I put the roast on for about 3 hrs, then added a foil packet of the fresh taters with some onions and peppers, then let that cook for a little more than another hour.

Yummy stuff. hungry.gif

Morning all. I agree that the weekend weather was gorgeous. It was nice to be able to sleep with the windows open. Nights temps were in the low 50s. Daytime highs have been up there still. We are due for a spike in humidity for a day or two also.

On we go with the mothly close. Mue.

Happy Muesday one and all.

This weekend felt like it lasted FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREVER. That's not a bad thing, but it was a long, long, 3 day weekend. Yesterday I was actually starting to feel like I wanted to go back to work. How sick is THAT?!?!?

I'm sure I'll be over it by about midnight tonight. nod.gif

Everybody have a great one!

Hey JR - thanks for 2 out of 3 games over the weekend. We could have used all of them though. Here's hoping that your Packers can do the same thing this weekend. I am sure the Eagles will appreciate it. Wins may be hard to come by this season for them.

Oh, I don't think so Fuzzy Wuzzy.  We'll be beating the Eagles pretty soundly!  nod.gif

I can't wait to get the season started!

I'm also pumped up for the MLB playoffs.  Lot's of angles to watch this year.  Still haven't decided who I want in the World Series yet though.

Do you not have any love for my Phillies? Let me guess, you are tired of seeing them. I haven't decided who I will root for (provided my Phillies don't make the playoffs).

I'll kinda root for them because they're your team Fuzz. But yeah, I'm a little tired of the same teams contending year after year while so many never taste the post season.

It's not the Phillies fault. They're a great organization and deserve their success. But baseball is still pretty screwed up financially and I find myself always rooting for the team with the smallest payroll.

Then last year you should have rooted for my Phillies. nod.gif

Hmmm. Maybe that is why they lost. wink.gif

Nobody outdoes the Yankees payroll.

Yeah, the Yankees are the devil in my mind.

There's really only about four or five teams destroying baseball with their ridiculous payrolls.

The league needs a cap. Everyone should have to compete with a payroll no bigger than $100 million. That would be more than fair.

I think they are going to try and do something in the next labor deal.

How about my Phillies? They are starting to get their bats back. And most of the pitching has been solid all year. It is going to be a tight race for the division with the Braves. We are coming down the stretch wit 20 or so games left for everyone.
