WXPN is doing their annual 885 songs countdown. (It is 88.5 on the FM dial.) This year's theme is "Songs that make you want to hit the road". You can submit your top ten list and they will compile the resulkts and play back all the songs in mid October.
I thought it would be interesting to see what our lists would look like.
Although there are probably a ton of songs that fit this category, I have jotted down some standards but would like to see what you guys have to say. I always look forward to finding songs that I don't know much about or never heard.

Hm, I have to agree with most of your list. The first ones that came to mind, you already have on there. I might add: She Can Do That - David Bowie (who else?) Drive - The Cars
I agree with most of those. I think I'd also include:
Fuel ~ Metallica All Right Now ~ Free I'm Shipping up to Boston - Dropkick Murphys I've Been Everywhere ~ Johnny Cash On The Road Again ~ Willie Nelson Mustang Sally ~ Wilson Pickett Start Me Up ~ Rolling Stones Shakin' ~ Eddie Money Free Bird ~ Lynyrd Skynyrd Drivin' My Life Away ~ Eddie Rabbit Roam ~ B52s
