Hey all-


Looks like my work computer is fried! I can't even get it out of standby mode. I think some third shifters were messing with my stuff last night- so while I patiently await the IT folks to respond, I just wanted to send out a quick hi, have a good day!

aw I was able to log in momentarily from one of the work servers. They have internet explorer on them. Somebody totally messed with my computer between the time I left Friday snd this morning. There was an extra chair at my desk; my computer was so fried it wouldn't even turn on. IT said someone ran the virus scan early this morning. I have a feeling the 3rd shift dorks came in and wanted to mess around on the internet, downloaded a virus, tried to get rid of it, shut everything down and got out in a hurry. I can't wait to see my internet history, or the last log on time. Someone's head is going to roll.


I probably won't have my computer back until wednesday at the earliest. That is the one that I use for e-mail and surfing. My other server computer has the needed software on it, and is networked to all the print machines so I can send & run proofs. I am usually too busy on that one to surf for very long. It was on this one that I said hello this morning.


I have to use the server to go out on the internet, and come back in to get my e-mail remotely through outlook. thats just annoying!

aw fuzzy I still had a 14 hr day! Just had to me more creative to get what I needed to get done, done. The one computer that went down was like losing my left hand, but I am right handed. wow that is an analogy that only fatigue could right....

As much as my computer sits in an openly accessibly area, I'd be SO angry if someone used it without permission, particular to DOWNLOAD something. How irresponsible. I get nervous downloading stuff on my OWN computer, let alone someone else's! I hope you are able to find out who did it.

Hey Ray, hello all!


Today is the day I am supposed to get my computer back. (watch it won't be for another 2 weeks, I just know it!) I am logged in at a work station right now. Been getting my e-mails here too- what a pain!


I had someone confess to me that they did use my computer on saturday, but swore up and down that nothing was downloaded. I believe this person, but the fact remains the computer is fried. Whether or not it was this person, or the computer was about to fry itself anyhow I don't know, I want to see what IT finds out. 


LOL THE WITCH! MAKING EVERYONE'S LIFE DIFFICULT!! RIGHT UP TO THE LAST MOMENT!! I even told her today- DONT WORRY ABOUT IT YOU WONT BE HERE NEXT WEEK ANYHOW!!

So I goes up to the IT department today to go "YO, where is my computer?!"

Turns out the IT guy who took the thing away to have it worked on if OFF today and tomorrow. He did call the Dell tech to come and work from it, but they never heard back from him.

I guess I wasn't joking about the 2 weeks this issue would take to resolve. Its ok tho...I have now officially made this workstation my new home. It has internet explorer so I can go out on the internet to retreive my work e-mails instead of being connected to the network here....lol

Our fax machine is down today. I get about 50% of my agreements via fax. I'm hoping it stays down for a while. But I work in a dream office, which means if it takes more than a day to fix, they'll probably just buy a new one.

I was kinda hoping that might happen here. I will gladly give up all my templates & settings and whatnot & reformat these, if it meant I could get something with a pentium 4 and a flatscreen. When HELL FREEZES OVER!! LOL!! I am fully expecting to get my old CPU back with a band-aid on it!
