I have a huge project for a customer due on Friday. But the event is on Tuesday, so I don't think that gives them enough proofing time. So I'm going to try to get it done today. Wish me luck!
I will be getting ready to install this project tomorrow. Gotta mount hinges on doors, cope some base moldings, gather tools, etc. I won't be around much tomorrow as I'll be spending a good portion of the day in the bathroom. Mrs Web doesn't know this is about to be done. I won't be able to get it done by the time she comes home for lunch, so I'll call her in the morning and see if she wants to go out for lunch tomorrow. Then I'll have the afternoon to get it all done before she gets home.
I'm feeling pretty good after yesterday's massage. I've got one sore spot in my back from where she worked on a big knot pretty hard. I have lots of knots in my shoulders too, but those are not hurting today like the one in my back. I'll have to go back in a few weeks and let her work on me some more.
Good day, all. Not a lot going on here right now... having a bit of a motivational issue this morning. Didn't even drag it out of the house until almost 8:30. It is kinda hard to get pumped up to go to the office when the whole day is going to be meetings.
This afternoon is the office Halloween event. I brought in some candy for the trick or treaters... should be fun. Not quite as cool as events past... they aren't letting the kids go desk to desk. It will all be contained in one area upstairs. Ah well... hoping my daughter in law brings the grandkids.
Good luck with getting your projects done, Mz and Web.

Good morning everyone. I have one little invoice to get out today and then nothing. I will have to find something to do. Maybe I'll play "Watergate" (shred files).
Sneaky, sneaky Web! Mz, I know you can do it! Trick-or Treat, Mema!
I'm having kid trouble again. But now that Jacob is 18, he's pretty much on his own. I would like to crawl in a hole...

Morning all. I was also having motivational issues leaving the house this morning. I also didn't leave until after 8:30 and it takes me at least an hour to get here. So I dove into some things and am finally getting around to rolling into here. I am having trouble dealing with the fact that it is only Wednesday. For some reason I thought it was Thursday.
Good luck Mz.
Glad you aren't too sore Web.
Stay awake Mema.
DS - if you want to come over, I have files that need to be tossed in a box and everything written up to go to storage.

I also got another little project put together so I can finish it when I get home.
We have an issue in our drains under the basement floor. Every once in a while, the main line drain under the floor will plug just past the floor drain under the basement shower. When it does that, all the water that drains from the main level starts backing up and will then back up out the floor drain. We don't know it's doing this until we happen to go to the basement and find the pond of water on the floor. Usually, a quick plunge to the floor drain in that shower will be enough to break the plug loose and away the water goes.
Sooooo, I made a "float" that will sit over that basement drain (we don't use that shower). If the water starts to back up, a float (empty upside down pill bottle) will slide up a sleeve (PVC Pipe) and activate a switch connected to a 9v battery. A wire ran from there up under the main bathroom sink will be connected to a little buzzer in the sink cabinet. If the water level rises, the buzzer will sound, and since it usually happens during a shower, we'll know to go plunge the drain before it gets bad enough to overflow that basement shower pan. It should work.
Yes, it is frustrating to deal with, but even Mrs Web agrees that it's not worth tearing out the basement floor to replace all the drains under the house for the few times a year it backs up. The warning indicator will let us know it's happening will save a lot of clean up work when it does happen.
Well, I got all but one brochure done because I'm missing a floor plan. I sent the rest to her and will send that one in the morning. It'll take her long enough to look through all the others.
The warning indicator seems to work. We did a test run in the sink and the alarm alarmed. So hopefully, we will now be aware of the problem and get it stopped before it becomes a major clean up in isle two.
