I thought we immunized against chicken pox now and that it had almost been irradicated.  My daughter has them.  Sweet thing--her chest and back are just covered and she has them in all the right places on her face.


It's kind of hard not to laugh--she has this huge one on the tip of her nose.

Sorry to hear that CP. When does she start school? My son had them, but Emily has been vaccinated. They say that does not guarantee that she won't get them, just if she does, it should not be bad.

No one is complaining about the braces, and the other has the pox.  Sounds kind of bad, but I like it.  All of a sudden they need their daddy again to comfort them.

Poor things! Childhood can be so tough! Maybe Daddy will give them ice cream...

What happened to the days where you purposely exposed your child to chicken pox to get them done and over with?

I dunno, sometimes I think you have to get sick so you don't get more sick. Does that make any sense?

My brother tried so hard to get the chicken pox when my sister and I had them, but he never did. Now they say it would be worse if he got them.

CP, you are a great dad to love that they need you. My heart warmed just reading about it. I hope she feels better soon.

My favorite is when my older daughter says to me, Dad that is so 80's.  At least they like Cher, especially her earlier releases.

My Dad got the chicken pox when he was 35, all I remember is he walked around a little bow legged for a while and there was an ice pak involved!

Yah, I am so glad I got them when I was five. My mom did what MZ said, exposed me to my brother, I guess My dad got in the way of the exposure too!
