Election day is over. We're shocked. Our mayor race was very close and the winner was not who I'd expect. The opponent/winner is one of those older guys with the attitude that spending any money at all on parks, the swimming pool, etc is a total waste.
Good day, all. Yep... the election is over. No surprises in my state... it is one of the reddest places in the nation. The rewording of the constitutional amendment guaranteeing an individual the right to keep and bear arms passed with something like 87% approval. AND we decided to allow the "mentally ill" to vote... that passed with about 65% approval.
On the Missouri side, one of my former junior high school teachers is now a Senator. Vickie Hartzler defeated long time Senator Ike Skelton.
The only shocker I really saw across the nation was that California voted against the legalization of marijuana. I seriously thought that would win by a landslide.
Ah well... it is another mostly sunny but cold one here. Presently 39*. Today might hit up in the lower 60's. Looks like the next few days the highs are only in the lower 50's.
Hope everyone has a great day. Mz.. hope it gets better for you.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
Afternoon all. I have arrived. I had to attend a funeral this morning so I didn't get to the office until 12:30. I have to pull up the paper online and see what the election results were. I only had to place 5 votes last night.
I must go see what else this workday holds for me. I know I have a 2pm conference call with an auditor. And I'll stay a little later to make up the missed time. I stayed a little late Monday and Tuesday to preempt my being in late today.
