Someone volunteered to make a McDonalds run this morning, but it was kinda late in the morning and I have an early lunch. So I barely ate any lunch since I had just had breakfast, and now I'm starving!!!!
I am trying to start eating better. I am trying to do it in steps. Watch the fat intake and then work my way up to carbs. In the meantime, I have also tried to reduce the overall intake of everything. Today was not the right combination to make it through the afternoon. I hate when that happens.

Sorry MZ, I won't tell you about the New York Strip steak with garlic mashed potatos, in a burgandy au juice with a vinegrette salad and dinner rolls I had last night at Minerva's then.

We have a wholesaler coming in to pedal their crappy mutual funds and we make them buy us lunch. We are having Sanford's Grub and Pub. I am having a Ruben sandwich and a salad.

I'm having my usual lunch of a brisk walk and sunflower seeds. Low in carbs.
Fuzzy, you mentioned that you are trying to get your fat intake down and then lower your carbs, that is kinda counterproductive. Most foods that say they are low fat are high in carbs. If you want some recipe tips on low carb cooking that won't make you feel like you're eating low carb, let me know. I can hook you up. I used to be a cook and I live the low carb lifestyle, so I've created my own recipes to spice it up. Let me know if you're interested.

Diets are hard. My husband and I decided that we needed to get our weight down when we returned from a Florida vacation a few years ago. Don't know if I ever mentioned this before, but I basically blew up after I had my kids. Had a great figure in high school (even though I didn't think so at the time), but I let it go to Hades and it took me 10 years to get it back. I was pushing 300 pounds and at 5 feet 5, that's not a great thing. Over a hundred and some pounds later, I feel much better and I'm back to looking like the person I always saw in my minds eye. I still eat low carb to maintain, but it's not as low as when I was losing weight. I don't know if you've ever heard of it, but there is a company that makes noodles called Dreamfields and they are pretty awesome. I make chicken alfredo, what my husband calls goulash (I call it chili mac) and spaghetti and it's low carb. My kids eat low carb, too. I have incorporated it into our lifestyle. I make low carb cherry cheesecake that is actually really good. I still make the things that are high in sugar sometimes (I made fresh peach struesel this weekend, gone in 60 seconds flat), but it's a treat and not a regular thing. O.K. I'll end this novella. I'm serious, though. If you want any recipes, I'll gladly hand them over.
