Last night at around 10 PM Live365's entire website was down, and thus so were all of it's stations.


When I went to bed at midnight it was still down.


Under normal circumstances our software will automatically reconnect when their site is back up (it makes an attempt to connect every five seconds), but Live365 had shut off all servers upon their return, meaning I needed to go to their site and manually switch our two servers back into the on position.


So, long story short, we were off the air, but we're back on now.


Sorry for the outtage.

It's great to hear FFR again!

But who was the meanie who requested another Van Halen song? Now Ray or Sparky can't request Hot for Teacher for Ruby!

It's funny that you all mention that, because that was what my hubby was singing this am.


He is paranoid that I am going to meet some medical student and leave him. I am like- they are 17 and 18 year olds, I am 35!!!


I know things like that occur, but pahlease! (as Dave would say!)

Live365 must really be going through an overhaul of their whole server system. I know that they have scheduled outtage blocks late on saturday night for quite awhile now! I wonder if they are just a larger scale duct-dape and aluminum foil contraption like FFR is!

Alright Ray, you've convinced me.


Fridays are a light day anyway, and with the outtage it will be really light.


I'll up the request limit to three.  I'd go to four, but you can only get about 10 songs in a half hour, so the backup would probably be immense.


I won't mention this on the air, so it's a forum member only thing today!  WOO HOO!

It's a half day for me anyway, so I'll be able to go home and rock out while my car's being fixed. Awesome!!!!!

aw dang Mz I thought you were leaving early to do something fun- not just get the car fixed- whats wrong with it??


well I mean rocking out at home to 3 requests on FFR while the rest of america is at work sounds like a great afternoon tho too.....

It needs a tune up and oil change, that's all. I do need to get the windshield wipers fixed (they don't like to shut off!), but I'm going to take it to the dealer to have that done.
