I know exactly what you mean, we had that fire right on the top ridge behind our house a little over a month ago.

So how close are you to the fires? I hope you home is not in harms way. I'll have to look at the pictures at home. I'm getting blocked at work. Keep us posted.

I actually live about 20 miles from the actual fire. I have some property right by the fire that I was trying to spruce up and sell. Back to square one on that one.

Wow, those are scary, CP. You've got some insurance on some of that money spent, don't you? I know that doesn't help much, but at least you wouldn't be at 0. Good luck!

Insurance is not covering it becasue I granted the fire department access to the property, even though they needed access to best fight the fire--try to do the right thing.

Wait, you let the firemen try to extinguish the fire instead of burning everything down, so they won't pay it? I hate insurance companies. I deal with families every day whose insurance won't cover thier children's transplants for one reason or another. It makes me sick. Can you appeal it?

The wind took the fire west so it went over the area where my stuff is. There was no damage to the equipment. I am lucky all I have to do is just re-do landscaping.

It is only 15% contained, but burning away from us now.

I am convinced your prayers helped. The Winds were blowing the fire right towards my equipment shed and property. I was standing there, just like as posted in the pictures watching this thing build and head right for us. Miraculously the wind died down, which allowed the fire crew to do a back burn. Then the Winds shifted from east to west. Cannot even see the smoke today.

Thank you everyone. as I said, I am sure it was your prayers that allowed for intervention and the change in direction.
