Over the years, I've noticed everyone's parties are different. Of course, I live in a college town, so I've been to the parties where the main objective is to get drunk and pass out. My parties usually involve eating, drinking, listening to music, and talking with a small group of friends. My friend prefers having parties where the adults are sitting around in conversation and grilling out, while the kids are playing tug of war and such. My parent's parties when I was little always involved euchre. I have a friend that holds board game parties where we just play different board games all night. (I love those!)
So what type of parties do you hold? What type do you enjoy?
back in the day ,we used to have vice parties , the shirts ,the shoes , the rum based fruit drinks ... sigh , now its party poker . com , and only if its cheap ! lol .
I prefer sitting around with friends having a good time talking, listening to music, watching a game, playing cards. I don't care for the standing by the keg, pounding beer after beer anymore. Good friends, good conversation, good food and good drink. That's me now. Although I occasionally like to throw em down and get there fast.
I agree with Ray. Throw in the grilling aspect and it is nice too. Not too often is it drink until you drop. At least not for me. I have done that only once or twice in the last couple of years. It was my birthday, I wasn't driving, no one had to pay for the beer and I was off the next day. So, why not?

The last party I went to was at our friends who like to grill out, the adults sit around in the screenhouse and shoot the breeze while the kids are outside playing. When almost everyone else had gone home, somone brought in a movie called Primer. It was the perfect movie to watch with a bunch of people. It was about a bunch of guys sitting around inventing things when they figure out how to manipulate time. So then afterward, we're sitting around talking about what they did wrong, and the psychological effects of time travel. (It was an awesome movie, and not once do they say "time travel" which made it even better.) That was my type of party. Man, am I a geek or what?
For me and my friends its a grill out with beer, where we all recollect "do you remember when you snorted that bottle of vodka and bit that police car ??" and thank God that age has calmed us down. And the food is much better, and we say a prayer of thanks we did not die.

We do the grilling out parties as well, rum and coke or beer and good food. Most of my friends have kids now so they play while we get happy. In the winter we play board games once in a while.

My In-Laws just came back from Mexico where they said they had a nice time with an English family. They said the teen age girls kept saying: That guy if Fuff! Have you ever heard of this?
Should it be English or British? Which one is correct?

a few friends and I went to the Brewers game last night. Amoco has a free ticket night for those who get their cards punched when they buy gas. BUT at the Fridays in left field, they were handing out free 16 oz beers by the dozen. Some new Budwieser product. not good, not bad. But free, so good! SOme sort of new promotional thing. It must be tough to be Bud at Miller Park. I think I stopped counting at 148 beers. I think I should go to the hospital!! Free ball game. Free beer. Too much of a good thing. THe Brewers lost WHO CARES!?!?!??!
