We got off easy. I've got 4.2 inches in my rain gauge.
I guess I knew it was going to happen but I can't believe the looting going on. The Mayor of New Orleans has declared his city closed.
My wife's company has a plant in New Orleans. She talked to one of the gals who got out. She and her husband went to Houston. She lives in St. Bernard Parish, which is where one of the levee's breached. She said they had several neighbors who were going to ride it out. Jenny said you could hear the the fear and desperation in her voice. They don't know where to go or what to do.
lets see, declare marshall , then sit back and watch the looting and say "were doing what we can " ya rite , did ya notice what 'ethnic persusion ' the looters were ? and the 'ethnic persusion ' of the cops watching them ? it was the 1st thing that caught my eye. hope they friggin drown like the rats they are. whats the point of declaring marshall law if your not going to shoot looters ? as for the rest , sigh , I can't imagine what lies ahead , so much death and destruction to deal with , more than people should have to bear. side note- do ya think hollywood will have a benifit concert? or Clinton / Bush heading up the relief ? I'm guessing -not . sigh . what a mess , ps- gas has already gone up 30 cents a gallon here , our guv. says florida will need to conserve, sure let the tourists buy it all , what a joke. happy g.d. thursday.
Dave you are wound up! I hate to break it to you but it's only day.
Some stations here are out of gas and I've seen one station with regular at $2.99. My wife overheard a clerk in one station ask another clerk how may "3's" they had.
