And now it's Wednesday.

Good day all.

It's 3° outside today.  Cash flow is low this week, so I'm trying not to buy gas before Friday.  Which means I'm also trying to keep the time the car runs to a minimum.  Which means I didn't warm up the car today.  Brr.

G'mornin.

It's 15 here now.

Christmas is one day closer than it was yesterday . . . and I'm not any more ready.

yawn.gif Hello, all. I'm here. Clearly I have not had enough caffeine for this day yet.

Afternoon all. Yeah, I know I am late. This is the first time I have had a chance to get in here today. And even at that, I have another meeting at 4pm. Fun.

I still want a nap.

Isn't that what meetings are for? Napping?

I seriously thought about it this morning. It was bad enough that I didn't arrive until 9:20am, as it took me 1hr and 45min to get here this morning. We had the tax planning meeting at 10am. This would be the meeting where I mostly just sit in the corner and listen. However, with the lineup of bosses in the room, I didn't think it was a good career move.

I feel your pain on that meeting. I drug it into the office around 11:00, started working on validating the datafill we built for the switch we are cutting tonight... then my boss came over and handed me a note with a trouble ticket number on it asking me what gives with that ticket. So I spent a bit of time reading the ticket notes and talking to an engineer who works for our customer so I could get the full picture. Wrote up a summary and sent it to my boss. We had our staff beating, then I spent a good hunk of the rest of the afternoon with the boss in the Director's office explaining stuff to him.

I did a pretty good job of managing my edit function while I was talking to him. That was a plus. I tend to get extra honest and blunt when I'm tired. I was NOT so good with the PM I was talking to one of the times when my boss walked up and said "I need your help right now." It did make Ken laugh when I told the guy, "Boss says his issue is more important than your project. I gotta go." then I hung up on the guy.
