I'm not scared of a lot of things, and not usually bugs, but even I would've freaked out if I found this thing anywhere in my house. This dude in London found it behind his TV. It's poisonous and from South America. Luckily, the venom is not lide threatening to a human, but does cause an extremely painful rash. No thanks.
There used to be this old rooming house/ hotel in Milwaukee that burned down. Among the ruins were a breed of cockroaches with orange coloring on their backs. No where else in the world were these cockroaches ever discovered before or since!

Cockroaches are one of those bugs I don't like. Star, you can keep those giant flying ones! I don't like earwigs either. Or tics, but I consider those a parasite, not a bug. But man, I'll take spiders any day!
And I know we don't have earwigs down here, but when I lived up north we had plenty. So, for anyone who doesn't know what an earwig is, here's a pic:
They love damp areas, so after a heavy rain you can find a ton of them.
Last month I went to get my mail and when I opened the mailbox about 50 of them went scurrying off. I could see the mail was all junk so it went directly into the trash and I sprayed down the mailbox with about half a can of raid!
Im with you on that one JD, I can't stand spiders either, luckily we only get little ones over here, I have to kill them if i see them, I can't sleep in a room if I know there is a spider in there, it has to die first!
Aw, come on, I love spiders... Okay, maybe love is a bit extreme. But I have a great appreciation for them ever since I watched a talk show where the guy who trained the spiders for the movie Archniphobia showed his 'spider-whispering' skills. Fascinating.
I don't have a problem with big spiders like tarantulas and stuff, its just the little house spiders we get, can't stand em, sorry they don't last long near me!
I'm with you, Zim. I scold my husband for killing spiders because they keep all other pests at bay. But I will admit, no matter how good the bug is, if it is physically on my person, it will probably be killed.
We are having a run of Black Widow spiders this year. They are actually very nice to look at. I am facinated by the shiny black color and the red hour glass on the belly. But, thanks to Terminix once a week.....
We had lots of creepy crawlies in Hawaii. I used to catch the gecko's and put them in my bedroom.
