Well, Thursday is yay for me because I took tomorrow off.
It's not as cold here, but we've got the good ol' snow with a layer of ice on top to help with the lovely winter weather. I've had no messages from anyone, but here it is almost 10, and no one else has come in the office.
Good to know that Thursday has arrived. It is my last work day this week so I need to accomplish a few things so I can definitely stay home tomorrow. So let's get going. I have been here an hour and am not sure that I have accomplished much yet. Work on.
Anyone interested in minty goodness, I have made dark chocolate/mint chocolate bark. I'll do the rest of my baking on Sunday afternoon. I can keep an eye on football games while I am in the kitchen. I just can't change channels as often.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to the concert on Saturday. I want to go, but I don't want to "go" . . . three hours on the road, taking the boy out to grandpa's, etc. I wish I could just zap myself there, enjoy the concert, and zap back home.
Sunny, 25, and very little wind here, not bad for Dec 16th!
Good day, all. It has been crazy busy here at Camp Happy. I'm finally catching a break. I wish I was taking tomorrow off, but got stuff to do so I really can't. Speaking of taking days off... I was supposed to be off for the rest of the year starting when I leave Friday. Not so much. Looks like I will be working through the wee-small hours of Wednesday morning now. Frigging people trying to cram everything in before Christmas.
It is a bit warmer here today too... presently 28*. We didn't get the freezing drizzle so much last night as was widely forecast. Lucky me... it hit just south of me and really messed things up as I understand it.
Sorry about not having time to stop by yesterday. I got home from work at 2:20AM yesterday morning and went to bed. Woke up around 7:30AM but had ambitions of falling back asleep until about 5 minutes later when my kid called with a big problem... busted hot water heater because it froze up as they did not have the furnace running in the house. They did not have the furnace on because it runs off of propane which they were out of... so they were heating the house with just space heaters. Sooooooo.... a few phone calls and $360 later they had propane, therefore heat, and thanks to still having the old propane powered water heater they have hot water too. And I was wide awake, so I came to work whereupon the real arse beating took place.
Looks like the rest of the day from here should be fairly calm... I hope.
Have a great day everyone.

Mema, right now, we figure all your energy is going into the crazy work schedule, and therefore we might not see you as much as we'd like. (I think it's fair to use "we" here?)
And having to take care of your son's problems on top of that? Sheesh! If you get time, have some beverages.
M - any chance you'll share and pass me $300 towards my propane? Mine won't even have the fee for emergency delivery. I'm sure they'll be here sometime the middle of January. It could easily cost me $500. Yes, things are more expensive here. I think am paying up over $2.50/gal. But I'll gladly take any offsetting expense I can get.
And yes Mz, I think is it safe to use "we". I am part of we.

Web...I just did the math on it.. $1.79 per gallon. The outfit that delivers to him won't deliver less than 200 gallons. They were nice enough to waive the fee for pressure checking the lines though, that was nice of them.
Fuzzy... I wish I could help you with that. Unfortunately, that was the $$ I had planned to use to put a couple of new tires on my truck. Ah well.. can't have the kids freezing.
I have no concept of how long 200 gallons of propane will last them. I'm guessing I'm going to have to sort out getting another delivery at some point.
Mz... thanks for the thought. I haven't had much time for beverages, aside from the smacking myself in the head with the Nyquil hammer to get to sleep. Maybe this weekend...

Bummer. I tried. I'm getting Santa to give me cash for tires. I was told that Santa would provide cash for two tires. Okay, now I need to find the cash for the other two. I really need to get my toys that are in storage sold.

I'll probably try to get the tires after next payday. So far we haven't had much snow here so it is not a big deal yet.
There is no "Santa" for me this year. Momma asked me the other day what I want for Christmas and I told her she shouldn't bother. She really did help me out quite a bit this year with working on my house, so it just doesn't seem right getting a Christmas present. In the last month I've had to replace 3 appliances at the house, so I think I've "gifted" my own self enough stuff. It will just be fun hanging out with the kids. Speaking of which... guess I best get a move on and finish Christmas shopping this weekend. Was going to do that Monday and Tuesday, but I guess I will be working both days now.
