I disappeared again, I know, but after reading this, you'll understand why, or at least I hope you will.
First, I have lost two very dear friends in the last month, one of whom just opassed away. His name was Ron Sund, I posted about him here a while back, he had that very fast moving cancer, he passed away Tuesday morning. The other friend passed away from natural causes, but that loss has been no less devastating.
Thirdly, Laura saw the neurosurgeon yesterday, and after looking at the films from her MRI, he has determined that surgery is her only option. She will be having surgery on her neck and will be in the hospital overnight. Surgery day is set for September 13. We're leaving today for the cabin for the labor day weekened, but DSL has been installed up there, and I will check in from there. I will be here for at least one more hour though.
