I could never get the hang of Thursdays

Good day all.

I'm out of breakfast.  Before you start feeling sorry for me, I should tell you that my breakfast has been leftover Christmas cookies.  Obviously, eating better was not one of my resolutions.

Oh, I hate when the Christmas cookies are gone. But I do have to agree that they do make a good breakfast. I think I did that for two days while I was off.

As for me, I am glad the week is winding down. However the work is picking up. Now that billing is closed, it is time to get moving on things. Work on.

I had a second cup of coffee today. And neither of my coffee cups have been cleaned for days. So I think I'll pass on tea today.

Hmmm. It would seem that it is time for you to do the dishes.

I entered the building this morning and I am waiting for an elevator. As I do people come in behind me with thier cups of coffee. Suddenly I am standing there and I am the only one out of five that isn't carrying a cup of coffee.

Howdy.

I'm frustrated with a web project. I gotta redo our church website and something that should be simple with CSS is frustrating me. I talked to one of my design customers this morning and he made me feel better by confirming that it "should" work, but it simple doesn't without a bunch of fancy code trickery.

Warmer today . . . 33 already! Woop!

Colder again this weekend. Bah.

I hate it when that happens Web! I know just enough CSS to get by, but not enough to fix something when it doesn't work like it's supposed to.

I don't do it enough to remember most of it. Every time I have to get back into a design project, I have to go through a refresher course on CSS. hmm.gif

Yeah, I always have to look up the order of boxes and margins and frames. I usually go find the basic CSS for the page layout that I plan to do so I don't have to start from scratch, that helps the ol' memory banks too.

We are looking to recieve a little snow late tonight into tomorrow morning. Apparently, it is going to start before the morning rush hour. That ought to be fun. They are saying 1 to 3". But we all know that is just enough to screw things up and slow everything down.

Yeah, even if it's just a light dusting and the roads are clear, people will drive like idiots.

I think a good percentage of people drive like idiots all the time . . . it's just that their idiocy is highlighted during bad conditions.

I used to think, "Why are there so many bad drivers? How could someone drive so badly and not know it?"

And then I rode with an etch at my old workplace. And more recently, with my current Etch. I'd rather walk. Although I still fear for my life walking, knowing they are driving.

There are also those people who don't really need to be out in the bad weather that makes things worse and get in the way of everyone else.

Good day, all! I'm up and about... patiently waiting for time to go to the eye doctor and then my primary care doctor. hmm.gif Not looking forward to all of this medical business. Still, I'm pretty sure it is time for a new pair of glasses. Debating on contact lenses, but I'm not sure I want to do that. We'll see. For now I suppose I need to look for a deal on a second pair of glasses.

I think there is a possibility of snow in the forecast for my area on Sunday. I could really pass. This winter has been fairly mild so far... I'd be really happy if it stayed that way. At any rate, I plan on staying in and watching the playoff games this weekend, so if snow happens I suppose Sunday would be a good day for it.

People losing their entire ability to drive is very expected around here when it snows. The thing I don't really understand is how so many people apparently forgot how to drive just yesterday! On my way home from work I passed 6 wrecks, 3 of which involved 3 or more cars. no.gif Most of those wrecks were within about 2 miles of each other. It was getting dark, but the roads were dry and the sky was clear. The truly dumb part is these were all past the area known as "The Lenexa Vortex" which is an approximately 5-mile long section of I-435 where traffic comes to a grinding halt at least twice a day during rush hour as this area contains interchanges for US-69, I-35, and K-10. Perhaps I will start taking the side streets home again. no.gif

Hope everyone is having a great day.

We get those around here. There are major roads all over here (76, 476, 202, 276, 202, 422). If I don't run around the back way for part of my ride home, I take two of these.) I always have to take 422 home. That is why it takes me so long to get in here every day. It only takes one person not paying attention to get one of those three cars messes.
