Good day, all. Looks to be another slow one around my office, though I have been advised to avoid a couple co-workers today. They are getting "the bad news"... no, not getting fired. They are going to be informed where they will be spending their "spring break" significantly east of here. Way east. Southern Asia east of here. Bummer for them. On the up side, it's not me.
Otherwise, not a lot new. Hope everybody has a great day.

Well, when I left at 9 last night it had begun snowing. It did that for a while then the sleet and freezing rain kicked it. I almost took myself out on the first step out of the garage this morning. Forgot about the ice over the snow thing. Cleaned off and started the car and on my last step on the way back into the garage also almost took myself out. Thankfully the travelled road were just wet. But you know 5 minutes later when I wnet to leave the house it was pouring rain. Nonetheless, I am safely at work and have been for some time. Now I am chasing the boss for signatures of stuff that has to be in to AP by noon.

Hey, a company paid trip to south Asia isn't so bad.
Yes and no... it would be nice to visit, but living there for a couple months is a different story. We have had several co-workers go there. I've yet to find too many interested in returning there.

Dang, Fuzzy... maybe time to go get you some cleats. Perhaps as a proactive measure I should send you the butt ring. I believe it is still in the back seat of my truck.

A couple months! Okay, that's a little different. I was thinking it was just a couple weeks.
Maybe next time I will put my cleats on and will strap a pillow to my butt. It was okay and it didn't look bad. I think I startled myself more than anything. I just have to remember to tuck and roll. Kinda like that panda.

It will be more like a couple months... specifically either May/June or June/July. The "new co-workers" will be here Feb. 1st to start their training, and will be here for 2-3 months, then as the work officially transitions to them a few of our peeps will have to go along to make sure things are working right and provide additional training support.
Just imagine being there in June or July... 117*, a bijillion percent humidity, there is a large, vacant lot next to your hotel where about 10,000 people have taken up "residence"...

The funny thing is that the designated training peeps are trying to get me and Little Man to agree to helping shuttle the trainees around after hours and on the weekends. I seem to be getting a lot of pressure because I am the only one of us with a vehicle that will accomodate 8 adults. I think I finally won the argument with "Do you realize that these people come from a country where you can't get a hamburger because the cow is sacred? You really want me to pick them up in a stereotypical example of American excess that has 100% sacred cow leather covered seats? Are you trying to cop an HR issue?!?"

I was planning on having some family over last night for an MLB The Show and grill out. But because of the snow a couple people couldn't make it so we postponed the cookout til next Monday.
That's gonna make for a hectic weekend next weekend. I'll be hosting an UNO party on Saturday night with some friends I haven't seen in over a year. Sunday will be Packer Party day, and if they win that one will go all night. Then Monday night will be the cookout.
I'm not that social of a beast Gonna be a less enjoyable weekend for me because it's not gonna have enough alone time in it for my taste. But who knew the Pack would be playing and who knew the cookout would get delayed? Not I.
