Do you pay bills online?

I love sitting at my computer and paying bills. Some I have drafted out of my account, but the rest I pay online. I think I write two bills in and mail them off. One day stamps are going to cost $100!!

How about you??

Nope, we are old fashioned and mail out hand-written checks.

Depends--I pay some on line like mortgage.  If I am pissed at the utility company--it gets mailed just so it can take an extra day or two.

I just switched over to doing most of my payments online this year. electric, phone, car insurance, health-club, broadband service....I still mail in my car payment tho.

I do not like the idea of the automatic withdrawal tho. I might need that money in an emergency, for example.

I like being in control saying "here is your money" rather than "go ahead and help yourself."

I say to them "go ahead" help yourself!

No, I've got one automated, and the one that fluctuates I pay on-line.  I just am so afraid to miss a car payment and they don't give you a reminder in the mail.

I put the money for my car payment in my savings and then it comes back into my checking right before it goes to be paid.  So I don't ever accidentally touch the money.  If there's an emergency - you can always cancel it.  But I really don't want to miss a car payment.  They kick my a$$ at the credit union.

aw I totally forgot- the financial planner gets her palms in the account on the 15th. That one is automatic; I don't even count the money as ever actually being in the checking account. Don't see it, don't feel the pain when it gets pulled!

I have the worst memory when it comes to paying bills. I prefer to pay online, but it just doesn't work for me. I hate automatic withdrawal, but I do that for a couple of bills anyway, because I really don't want to miss a payment. The rest I do the old fashioned way, I just write out the check and mail it off as soon as I get the bill. Otherwise, I forget.

I pay the bills that I can online. My cell phone bill is done over the phone. We have our truck payment automatically debited from our account. Our electric and phone bill are still stuck in the snail mail mode and I have to send them out by mail. I wish I could pay all of my bills online. I used to use a lot of stamps, but now I only have to buy a book every now and again. I love that. I guess that's my way of making up for having to pay for a post office box when I live less than half a mile away from the post office. That stinks. Our town doesn't have mail delivery if you live within town limits, but if you live out in the country, you get free mail delivery. I don't get it. $24 a year when I live in town and they would only have to walk to my house and the people that get delivered to out in the country have to have someone drive to their house. I'm bitter.

I pay a lot of my bills online. I've got a couple that are automatic withdrawl. I've been thinking of changing most of them to AW. I still mail a couple in. I'm thinking about switching all of them to automatic withdrawl I like the convenience.

We do both, depending on the date it is due and when we get paid.

Same here as most on our personal stuff . . . a couple auto withdrawls, a couple online, and a few checks mailed in.

My business is different. Everything in my hosting business gets charged on one business credit card then I pay it online once a month.
